Rents are modern slavery. Shelter is a basic human right. No more proof needed than seeing workers ordered to stay at home, and unable to obtain a paycheck. Watch the capitalists defend their compensation at the cost of human suffering.

I have been having a lot of fun with Mad Max, lately. I think the Overload game is a good deal, too.
Seems like a lot of the same prices that have appeared as weekly sales or daily sales. Was looking forward to some extraordinary discounts, but will still pick up a few games just for laughs.

Surprised to see all the complaints about privacy / drm / lack of ownership / linux support here, after seeing all the justification for compromise for other linux gaming advancements. I predict this is going to be hugely successful for some types of games, and in a few years, it will be totally accepted. The complaints remind me of the same things I heard for word processors (google docs), music cds (streaming), and dvds (netflix).
Plus, on Steam, I can see how much time people play on their games. For the vast, vast majority of games, people only have a couple hours of play-time. Why spend $60 for a game that you might not like, that you probably will play for a couple hours? And then there are one-shot games, like point and click games or visual novel games, where there is just no reason at all to own the game after completing.
I have spent many hundred of dollars on 450 games, over the last year, on steam, and a majority of those games are not ever going to get much playtime. So, Google Stadia will give access to some of the same games at a flat monthly rate? Sign me up.

Really excellent video to watch, with good audio. Interesting presentation.. he has some great insights into the larger world of PC-gaming, through a focus of getting games working on free desktops. I am really excited to know that this lone-wolf is out there saving the "back catalog" and making it accessible. Finally have got an appreciation for Proton, too. Will be giving this video another watch, later.

I really liked this game. It is not a combat focused game - - and there are not any combat skill trees. This is an exploration game with an emphasis on crafting and base building. It still needs more story elements, but it is otherwise polished. Of all the games that I have played in the last month, this one has had me thinking about it, even afterward.
Stardock is planning to release 'Star Control: Origins' on Linux

I was a big fan of the developer stardock , back when I was making my switch to the gnu-linux desktop. Not only was stardock not publishing games for linux, but they seemed angrily against the linux desktop usage. They were still publishing windows os gui widgets back then. I would be a considerable turn to see them supporting a stardock linux-build.
Steam now has a form of platform-specific wishlisting, to help developers see demand

In hindsight, with the knowledge of Valve's Steam Play, this seems like a very clever marketing ploy. Six months before they release an emulator, that allows buying windows-only games, they were getting people to add windows-only games to their wishlists.
