Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Has A Trailer, It's Exciting

Wasteland 2 is most certainly a sequel. There are plenty of references to the original game and the plot is heavily based on the events of the first game. However, the necessary information is given to you so you are not really missing anything important by not playing the original.

Trolling Delays Linux Release Of The Stanley Parable

My opinion is that your purchase should be a reward for the developer. That way they will get no money before it's out, which encourages them to work faster and actually create a better product. If we all went and bought the games immediately the only incentive for them to release the port is to keep their reputation up. It also has the potential of screwing up various statistics related to Linux purchases and can in some cases lead to the porting house not getting paid if the port is being done by a third party.

I'm just saying there is literally no positive to buying before it's out. Even if it's someone you trust. Buy into products, not promises.

Well, this is why it always pays off to only buy *after* the port has been released. Same logic can be applied to games that offer pre-orders.

I'd say it's closer to Sims than traditional RTS games.

Shouldn't you be off getting drunk on a lake for the solstice right now? :P
That's exactly where I am. I can barely get a connection on this summer cottage. The getting drunk part has been a partial success.

It's still frustrating to see that 16.8% of intel GPU users are still confused about their drivers. I wonder if these select few are optimus users.
Shame from what I'm hearing that Intel will be doing forced binary blobs now, shame on them.
Well, it's nothing worse than what AMD already has. I read that those Intel blobs will only affect two things, one of them being graphics scheduling and the other some form of power saving thing. So most of the stuff is still open and available.
