I don't think we can defeat this pressure to be online for a singleplayer game so it would benefit compatibility if you could just plug in a sim card and be able to start more games.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumMultiplayer on a sim card? Yikes it'd be lag city on the UK networks, where I am we have flaky 4G that often drops down to 3G or even 2G :tongue:The Deck could also be used to have a larger display for browsing the web on the go where at the moment people take a tablet with them.

More Open?
Maybe the Steam Launcher will become partially opensource so people can integrate other platforms and it still looks like it was done by valve by default?
For Deck2 it would be nice if we get a sim card slot and 5g compatibility. So you can truly play on the road without having to go through the hassle of creating a wifi hotspot with your cellphone.

Chatting with Friends, comparing achievements , seeing how long you and your friends played a certain game.
Before you go for new stores, finish the missing features.
Also don't forget that there has to be an open source client like legendary to build upon.
Someone has to do the heavy lifting with research and implementation first ;)
Unless you can provide that Lutris is the easier option.
That needs a lot of tea and pasta:

Quoting: fenglengshunI wonder what's next for them -- I'd personally would love for other stores to get support but I really don't know if that's finally in their target now and if so, which one will get priority. There are still features that are missing compared to the original clients.

There is preliminary work at https://github.com/imLinguin/comet [External Link] but it does not allow for much more than starting Gwent if you check the todo list :)

Quoting: krelltunezAlso, Gwent DOES NOT work on Steam Deck (at least using Heroic). No idea if it would work on regular Linux.Heroic is missing a replacement for the GoG Background Service.

Quoting: GuestUnfortunately not in some countries like Germany. We are blocked from a shitton of releases. Especially VNs and some other as well (especially shooters). Sucks :/I only remember some versions of Unreal being inaccessible with a german ip adress on the gog store.

It just marks them as installed and let's you launch the game via Heroic.

Quoting: Stoney_Fish2. IMPORT, I was not sure about, does it mean you manually download a zip from GOG and select that ?It's for already installed games that were installed through other means.

Quoting: Stoney_FishI can see how you can list from your library All or Linux or Windows games. The Library has three buttons on top "all" "EPIC" and "GOG" to show only the matching games.
Can you filter this list for All or GOG or Epic games ?

Blizzard I think is more after Cheats I think. So far I only saw third party server software for their games and unpackers for their game archives.
I am all ears for any proof of this claim that they sabotaged attempts of a open source battle.net client

Quoting: PhlebiacBut I've not heard of anything similar for other platforms mentioned (and some are probably harder to reverse engineer than others - I think Blizzard actively went after people who tried in the past?).You can find stuff for Ubi and Origin on github.

Unlike Lutris they are not using the original proprietary launchers and wrap those, no they write their own code that interacts with the original servers.

Quoting: fenglengshunNow that that's a major milestone crossed, I think we might soon see Heroic's plan to expand to other stores. Itch, Ubisoft, and EA Origins maybe? Maybe Battle.net, Minecraft, FFXIV, and Riot games as well? This is quite some heavy lifting and research. Heroic is far from feature parity with the original clients already and spread thin. They would need more people that supply code.
