GoG endorsed Heroic Launcher in their Reddit posts and they gave the Heroic Team an affiliate link, so this is rather close to an "official" client

Is this something wine can fix like easy anti cheat system calls or is it a Vanguard like Kernel Module that we can't get to on Linux?

If they give us the , i think pmu it was called, part of the firmware, they could at least get a better standing in the community and say "here you go, figure it out, have fun" and continue with the modern gsp based driver.

Quoting: sprocketAs much as I would like this, they have to draw the line somewhere when it comes to old architecture support. For them that is Turing, which made its debut in 2019. And as much as I hate to say it, 5 years is pretty typical for hardware support across most industries. There is a difference between keeping the necessary files and documentation from the community and writing the whole driver themselfes.

Native linux games usually have the problem that they aren't as tightly integrated with existing storefronts and therefore need more effort to integrate well in your interface.

I think this should include all raw materials, sounds, music, effects, voices, the project files for the movies and so on. It is not just the immediate game that is important, but tools and other surrounding files like sketches as well. So the spirit and the history of a game also gets recorded.

Common Engines like Unity,GoDot and UnrealEngine are available to people so it might be just the diff that is required.
Source alone is not the best thing, raw assets are also helpful if we want to remaster them in higher resolution later on.

While we can still package and update important additional applications outside of the ubuntu repositories, i think we need an additional gaming repo that is kind of rolling.
(and we need to get rid of this snap pack nonsense for everything)
Wine-Releases are a huge bonus if you get the biweekly ones from their repo.
There are tools for Cooling & RGB like polychromatic, CoolerControl or OpenRazer that would be beneficial by default as well.
I am actively looking into remixing the official ISO with all these nice little helpers so i can safely give it to friends and all the recommended stuff is already there.
Any idea how i can pre-configure addons&settings for Firefox in this way?

Too bad that everyone is focussing on the GSP Cards and the rest is left behind.
A 980 is still a nice thing.
Guess the linux binary driver won't die ever.

I don't care about this blockchain integration stuff for some new coin on the market that i don't know and therefore don't trust.
BUT this hardware looks weird and i hope they will go back to the drawing board and choose something better.
