The new Steam Controller from Valve is out now - some early thoughts
13 May 2026 at 6:13 am UTC

Quoting: Mountain ManPlayed all day with the Steam Controller. I can say it's the best controller I've ever used.
I have the same feeling. Mine arrived yesterday, but so far I've enjoyed the experience. I like the feel, the ergonomics, and especially the hardness of the bumper buttons (several of my old Steam Controllers had broken bumpers after extensive use).

It took me almost an hour to be able to order a Steam Controller, but I'm glad I was able to do it. Who knows when they'll have more stock available?
I was actually more excited about the new Steam Controller than I was about either Steam Machine or Steam Frame.

The action RPG 'Soulframe' from the devs of Warframe gets a Steam page and early access for founders

Just wanted to mention that I've been playing Soulframe on my Steam Deck for a few months (added as a non-Steam game), and it runs pretty smoothly. Enabling FSR in the game settings helps a lot.

Hopefully they finally fixed all the startup problems on Linux. The last two updates didn't let me use my Index forcing me to switch to the ancient 1.27 beta branch.

Quoting: elmapulGYLT? i've been waiting forever to play this, when this launched for pc?
Apparently, it was released on Steam back in July. I also completely missed it.
I played this game during my Stadia trial period, and I can say that it's definitely worth playing. It has a vibe similar to Little Nightmares, but it's more stealth-focused.

I initially had to switch from Beta to Stable channel to avoid this issue. But after they uploaded the changes to the stable channel it no longer helped. I'm glad they were able to fix it.

Just wanted to mention that this update broke Steam Deck compatibility of Warframe one day(!) after it got promoted to Verified (the onscreen keyboard stopped working making it impossible to login).

Squad-based tactical RPG Zoria: Age of Shattering releasing April 27th

I enjoyed playing the demo a few years ago so this game is definitely on my radar. If you like old school RPGs with tactical combat, Zoria is a good example of that.
They've also had a demo [External Link] available on itch.io for a long time.

This is definitely great news for game preservation.
Might & Magic and Wizardry are my two favourite classic CRPG series, and I'm so glad we're able to play these games on modern systems.

Steam desktop and Steam Deck Beta fixes up more on-screen keyboard issues

Fixed opening onscreen keyboard in-game causing input to no longer go to game.
I'm glad they fixed this bug as it was extremely annoying, and made me avoid playing the games that require the onscreen keyboard.
