The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows Linux market-share has declined again

Since we know that the survey is given far less frequently to Linux users and we know nothing of how the numbers add up otherwise, it is literally a vague percentage of an unknown number; it is completely useless.
Now, it might possibly be used to indicate minor trends in our percentage, but since we still don't know the total, we can't even be sure of that.

Quoting: ShmerlI think people should stop paying attention to Steam survey. Its usefulness is close to zero. This, so many times, this.

Also, I personally would stay away from giving money for a lesser product. If I can buy the game and play it with full functionality in Wine, then that makes sense (still not something I'm entirely comfortable with), but paying for something one will be forced to play offline doesn't (disclaimer: I have no idea if there's an online component in Prey, I'm speaking more generally - also I don't mean to say that one should just get it illegally, I mean I would stay away from the game completely until it was properly working).

Quoting: charliebrownauOddly enough, I believe that's still illegal in the USA. You should be fine in Europe, though, as long as you get the cracked copy in a way that doesn't help spread it (ie. no torrents).Quoting: EhvisNothing stopping a person buying it legitQuoting: sr_ls_boyI read that Prey is working. That's about the demo. The full game is denuvo infected, so won't work.

Then downloading the cracked copy with DENUVO removed
and playing the whole thing single player offline

Quoting: CommanderI see that you commented on the "vineyard" package, so I'll assume that's the one you installed. I'd strongly recommend that you install "vineyard-git" instead, as the "vineyard" package (or at least the source it builds from) hasn't been updated in close to 8 years now.Quoting: CybolicAUR. hm will have a look at the versioning, maybe just autdated pkgbuild.Quoting: CommanderHow did you install it? That code hasn't been in Vineyard for quite some time :/Quoting: Cybolic[...] Vineyard [External Link]. [...]Hm seems to be crashing for me on launch; [...]

Quoting: g000hTempting - Currently it is 25% off in the Humble Sale [External Link].Great, now I see this! :P Oh well, more money for the developer (I just bought it on Steam).
EDIT:
Even more tempting - you get the GOG key and Steam key from the Humble purchase.

To get back on topic, since I ended up getting the bundle anyway, is there any one of these games that anyone can recommend from a gameplay/story perspective? I have no issue with any sexualised content, but I do want to play something that has either a decent story or good gameplay, not something that just has "some other purpose".

Quoting: EikeThanks for the find! No, I hadn't seen that, I just clicked a few of the videos on the Humble page.Quoting: CybolicSo, what exactly are these games? I tried watching a few of the videos, hoping to learn a bit about the gameplay, but they all seem to be just slideshows of "titillating" characters.Found this video?

The theme is certainly a lot more appealing than the usual fantasy theme (which I must admit, I'm rather tired of), but I hope they spent some time polishing the audio side a bit before release; I would tire of those sounds quite quickly.
