Quoting: ObsidianBlkI don't know... I kinda like the idea of potentially forcing the industry into physical distribution once more, but I'm not so naive to think that would actually happen.
i dont think linux gaming would have come so far with DISCs
which store would sell linux games? it is physical storage the owner has to pay for. of course they would have more windows games

it is a very difficult topic. i understand both sides.
if valve goes down, all you games are gone..... but if you have a DVD, the DVD also is useless afers some years
and maybe you cant even install it anymore, because your newer OS doesnt support it
on steam they can change all files easily

i think as it is, it is good

Quoting: mylkasoo i gonna make some epic accounts and then i sell the free games i got.....
another good point, we can forget about free keys!
but you could sell your games and maybe you get games cheaper

it has its pros and cons

maybe valve and co charges us for each download. 1cent/GB or sth like that
Imagine the ruling comes to effect, now only the french ppl can sell their free copies they got from humble bundle. That would really unfair.
it would be EU law, so the whole EU can resell games
i mean i also can sell my DVD, Book, or anything else

as i said.... pay for the download

i am thinking of google.... they need more money for stadia, but now i could sell all my games there and someone can play the game without giving google any money

can you do an interview with this developer about porting a game to linux and mac....
sounds kinda ID with DOOM

While not on Linux officially, Far Cry New Dawn seems to work amazingly well on Linux

Quoting: zkarjI'd rather wait for Linux port than purchase Windows version, however long that takes. No reason to give developers a leeway to not focus on Linux port.
30% goes right to valve, so they can support linux and ubisoft sees you play it on linux
