Quoting: SchattenspiegelFind the 'launcher-configuration.json' in the game directory and change the 'fallback' entry to "DirectX 11"
after that you can use --launcher-skip as a launch option in Steam
Nice. Thanks!

It would have been nice to set the DirectX11 version directly from the launch command (maybe with the parameter -dx11 as UE games do), and skip entirely that launcher.

Quoting: Liam DaweI get why people hate it though, there's too many games that stick too many extras in pre-orders to force people to buy early and make their numbers look good.
And moreover the actual game might not fit the initial expectations, but I don't think this is the case.

I believe that has some serious showstopper, such as issues on remastering it or issues on setting the multiplayer in place.

I'm not very fond of games with zombies (or infected, or whatever), but I think this is amazing news for both the Deck visibility and the future of PC Gaming in general.

Quoting: XpanderNot much perf loss with that, but the Screen Capture (XSHM) is awful when GPU is nearly fully utilized, whole desktop starts to lag. NvFBC was the best to record entire screen without any significant perf drop.
On my NVidia I use gpu-screen-recorder [External Link] in replacement of NvFBC as it gave me a huge performance boost.

Quoting: Zer0Coolman thats a really cool idea. that way it wont break anything for other games but we know the new game will work. maybe thats why when i downloaded rdr2 it also downloaded a new proton branch for me...
RDR2 has the same issue of Bioshock Infinite: the Publisher having strange idea of adding unsolicited services or "improvements" on their launchers

Valve finally fixes up the Steam Deck on-screen keyboard some more

Is the on-screen keyboard available now also in the login screen in desktop mode? In case it doesn't, I will still keep CoreKeyboard on my taskbar.

This is related to the only thing I seriously hate about the Steam Deck: the Steam login system, which deletes the password from the stored credentials when you change either country or network. This would make perfectly sense for a PC at home (which won't never change either network or country settings), but this is unacceptable for a portable device. I can't waste my time to enter back again the password in desktop mode any time I fly to a different country, where (guess what) you might not have the same quality of connection you have at home. This issue seriously has to be addressed.

I'll try to use it again for Playstation Plus. At the moment I'm using Lutris for it.
