Valve finally fixes up the Steam Deck on-screen keyboard some more

Is the on-screen keyboard available now also in the login screen in desktop mode? In case it doesn't, I will still keep CoreKeyboard on my taskbar.
This is related to the only thing I seriously hate about the Steam Deck: the Steam login system, which deletes the password from the stored credentials when you change either country or network. This would make perfectly sense for a PC at home (which won't never change either network or country settings), but this is unacceptable for a portable device. I can't waste my time to enter back again the password in desktop mode any time I fly to a different country, where (guess what) you might not have the same quality of connection you have at home. This issue seriously has to be addressed.

Furthermore, if a customer arrived to tell me: "Your competitor's prices are lower!", my answer would always be the same: "that's awesome! Why are you not going there then?".

Quoting: constA agree I won't buy this thing and they should give back the $3 to people who don't agree with that package. I also agree they could have prevented the outrage, but that doesn't make the outrage just.Couldn't agree more. Surely the initial quote has been broken by a bad communication and the need to repackage the offer. However, a customer can ask for a refund and move on. If they need to fuel the outrage just for the fun of it, what was the purpose of buying a Steam Deck or being into gaming in the first place? They are not making any different impression than the Karen they would complain about irl.

If you tried to tone it down (by posting for instance a moderate and conciliatory comment), you would probably get lots of downvotes, as it would not be in line with the audience expectations. Haters gonna hate, and nothing flames them more than a good scam narrative, regardless if it is justified or not in this specific case. That doesn't matter.

Quoting: constGosh, reddit is really at it's worst about it.As consta et al. mentioned, it's the Reddit karma system which can push some trends and fashionise some polarised opinions, according to the specific feelings of the moment.
I replied to some very angry guy that it's just about another case, so there is no need to get emotional.
He replied so angry that his post was deleted by some mods without me asking for it, yet my post was downvoted like crazy. Don't really care for the downvotes, it's reddit. Just wanted to illustrate how mobbish the mob has become.
I want real community forums back, reddit is cancer.

Quoting: MohandevirAside from my Steam library, I got Chiaki (PS4 streaming), GFN, Stadia and Emudeck all set on my Steam Deck... I'm all covered and it was really easy to setup. There is no game I can't play on that thing (currently in a Horizon Zero Dawn run).If just that PlayStation Plus (formerly known as PlayStation Now) PC App would be as good as Chiaki. At the moment it is utterly trash.

Quoting: 1xokThe Switch currently has currently 4404 games, see:There could be surely more working games than any major console currently in the market, but people has to verify also very unknown games. Unfortunately there are around 64k games in the Steam store, and the ProtonDB website has shown that around 70% of the recorded games have a silver (or better) rating. Ideally, if we assume that that percentage is evenly distributed along all games, we could reach around 45k games supported on Linux/Steam Deck.

It was a struggled journey at the beginning when I decided to get back into gaming in 2017. But lots of achievements has been done also with the huge tech and ideas support coming from this community. Thank you so much Liam and all the fellow Linux gamer for this great outcome.

Are there any recommended alternatives of dock stations currently in the market? I can see lots of them with provided power supply, but which ones of them are the most reliable? (honest question)
