I've pretty much been playing Borderlands 4 since it was released.

I just got confirmation from Nvidia that 580 drops at the end of this month and is expected to be supported for `1year. I.E. you have a year to get a new video card or be unsupported by the vendor.

Ubuntu 25.04 upgrades halted due to Kubuntu users getting a broken desktop

This was "fun" last night. I was running the upgrade in konsole which was uninstalled so it stopped responding, had to restart, boot an old kernel, resume the install, uninstall kdsoap-ws-discovery-client, then install kde.

Anyone else getting a black screen on next login if HDR is enabled? I can enable it and it works fine, but if I don't disable it I can't log in next time without clearing out the kwinoutputrc file.

I'm on Nvidia.

Quoting: GuestLet's wait 6 months for Starfield to enter Beta, as is the norm with Bethesda
Or just wait till after the first run through of BG3.

Quoting: drlambOn the mouse side logitech is pretty well supported by libratbagd/piper/sonarr. I've grown to love my System76 launch keyboard + a single short cable from its USB hub over to the logitech powerplay mouse pad.
Thanks, i'll look into it. If i could at least have the g502 working properly that would be a start. If i could manage to stop the g910 rgb rainbow that would be a plus. But imo, that's kind of a non issue in the long run. Where i'm really disapointed is that i don't see how to use my g13 gamepad. I haven't delved into the problem that much. If there was a way to instal logitech software through something like proton, then add it as a non steam game maybe... I have honnestly no clue if that's possible.
The G910 at least is supported by OpenRGB. https://openrgb.org/devices_08.html [External Link]

ckb-next for configuring Corsair keyboards and mice v0.6 out now

So, I just tried this on my Corsair K70 MK 2 Rapidfire.

Good:
Music visualizer works without needing to change any settings
The Winlock and Light Effect keys work as intended by the manufacturer
Extremely simple to set up
Indifferent:
Has built in Macro programming -- tons and tons of lightweight solutions for this
Bad:
Less effects options than OpenRGB
Can only control Corsair keyboard and mice
OpenRGB cannot control the device while the service is running

Verdict: It has a lot of cool features and is a great option if you only want to control a Corsair keyboard and/or mouse. If you have multiple RGB devices to control then sticking to OpenRGB is best.

Quoting: Linuxerhoww do i launch or install this... downloaded https://github.com/ckb-next/ckb-next/archive/refs/tags/v0.6.0.tar.gz [External Link] and extracted an bunch of files apeared but none of them brings an install program or launch when doubble clicking .... like the earlier poster said URG

edit: i realize to make the quickinstall file executable from menus an then launch but:

/home/tuxer/Downloads/ckb-next-0.6.0/quickinstall: line 51: cmake: command not found
An error occurred,
press enter to exit.

so this software doesn't work or am i just dumb as shoes!?
This is a source tarball, so you need to compile it from source.

Some distributions or third-party repositories offer prebuilt packages you can use instead, but these may be outdated: https://github.com/ckb-next/ckb-next/wiki/Linux-Installation [External Link]
ok strange indeed. but why exactly is there this file 'quickinstall' then though?
That is a script to do the compiling and installation for you. It's failing on required compiling tools being missing. Installation instructions can be found here: https://github.com/ckb-next/ckb-next/wiki/Linux-Installation [External Link]

The Last of Us closer to playable on Steam Deck, but the Deck still has RAM problems

Quoting: headless_cyborgOk, I'd throw my usual question - does listening mode finally work? I had to play through the whole game without it because it didn't work. And I don't even care about any "but Linux only has X.Y percentage marketshare" - if the only other option is to use Windows, no thanks, that OS is unusable. I would expect companies to at least try that one attempt to finish the game in Proton. Stealth was really hard because of this bug. I didn't even know this "listening mode" exists until I started googling why stealth is so damn hard.
Yes, it works.

Does this support programming writing macros to the onboard memory of the keyboard or just RGB lighting?
