Quoting: slaapliedjeI'm getting 50-80 FPS with Ultra settings at 1440p for most of my titles (whether native, wine, or proton) but Doom runs at 130. The only things that hit 170 at that resolution don't really need it, but I'm well positioned for when I can finally get a 30 Series Nvidia card to replace my 2060.Quoting: RoosterMy favorite statistic is that there are 3 people here with 12 monitors. Not one. Three.Ha ha, that's hilarious. Do they use something like the Matrox cards to drive them all at once? I mean if I counted all of my monitors in total... I have a lot! Granted, some of them are CRTs...
Quoting: tuxisagamerPity there's no option to put in the refresh rate manually. My new Gigabyte M27Q is 170hz but 165 is close enough. My issue with the higher refresh rate monitors is that most of the games that'll actually take advantage of such a thing, still struggle to get to 40fps on high end hardware... (mind you, that's with all the extras turned on!)

Quoting: PatolaWell, I clicked the entry for borderlands 2 hd texture pack on steam and it seemingly worked, launched borderlands 2 afterwards. Did the same for the PreSequel. Might be confirmation bias since there has been a couple months I don't play it but the game seemed crispier. It is running well for me except a bunch of black texture boxes appearing in random spots.
Also I was able to run the new Borderlands I GOTY Enhanced under proton, after renaming the game executable to Launcher.exe. Ran smoothly.

Hey, speaking of Steam in wine, anyone get the text in the web browser/ storefront to display? It's not the old -no-dwrite issue nor does it seem to be no -no-cef-sandbox.

Quoting: calfretWhy the mention of Steam? Steam runs natively on Linux, yes? I did not use WINE to install Steam on any of my Linux boxes. I did have to tweak some things to get it to work on my son's laptop running Ubuntu Mate 16.10 as I recall.Because in order to run Windows games on Steam under Linux you must install the Windows version of Steam in a wine environment.

Quoting: GuestYeah, the game doesn't support two controllers. You have to use a button mapper to configure the second controller. Qjoypad only supports 1 key per button. Antimicro supports mutli-key binding.Quoting: tuxisagamerNice, really awesome that you can do that. Witness the power of Linux! ^n.n^Quoting: GuestHorrible controller support fixed yet?I use a Wii-U usb adaptor and 2 GameCube dance mats. I have the game set to arrow keys for player 1 and wasd for player 2. I use antimicro to handle the button mapping. It even handles mapping key combinations to buttons. So B is for bomb and A is for throw.
For me I just wanted to use a controller though, and there were two big issues that I doubt are fixed:
1. Controller support has to be manually mapped.
2. The game forgot that mapping each time I restarted it.
3. Game totally fails to work with two controllers, at least if they are the same type, so co-op is broken.
Until those get fixed, I'm not supporting them.
