Single-player god game 'Godhood' from Abbey Games is fully funded and heading to Linux

I am surprised that Godhood only "managed to get just over their goal of €50K from around 1.5K backers so they only really just scraped by with it."
The game looks like something that I would really enjoy... I have always considered Godhood my "dream job". :) I did not do the Kickstarter, because Kickstarter does not take PalPal; but I did pick up the "Late Backer Option". With the Late Backer Option you get the same benefits that were available on Kickstarter; including free copies of the previous two Abby Games releases: Reus and Renowned Explorers.

This is excellent addition to the website. Although I read almost every posting on GOL, I really enjoyed hearing you summarize the most important information of the week. Being an audio presentation also helps me remember the information, so I can pass it on to my Linux using friends. In addition, since I have problems with pronunciation and sounding out words, I now know the proper pronunciation of the game names and technology you mention during these podcasts... although my friends may start to wonder why I have developed an English accent when talking about gaming. :)
Thanks for all your hard work Liam. It is appreciated.

Crashlands
Only been able to play 4 out of the last 7 days, but have managed to get in over 32 hours of game time into Crashlands. Great story and fantastic crafting system. For me, it is like Baby Bear's bed in the fairy tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears"... It is not too hard and not too soft (easy). The story behind the creation (creators) of the game is also a feel good story [External Link].
Slay The Spire
Before getting into Crashlands, I was playing the just out of Early Access game, Slay The Spire. Mega Crit has done a great job of combining a fantastic deck-building game with a roguelike adventure. However, after getting defeated by the bosses at the end of Act II eight consecutive times, I got somewhat discouraged. I am sure I will get back to it eventually. The replayability of this game is excellent.

An interesting sidelight:
I have used MultiPlay servers for over five years for both communication (Mumble) and game servers. I got a notification from MultiPlay last Thursday (1/3/2019) that the servers that I purchase will be shut down on the 28th of February 2019. The email had this link to the MultiPlay Blog:
https://multiplay.com/2019/01/03/important-information-regarding-multiplays-community-server-offering/ [External Link]
There are two takeaways that I get from this post:
1. They have decided to "close our community server offering",
2. Their new business model will focus on "providing services direct to game creators and a better experience for gamers"
I am having a hard time sorting this all out, but my first thought is that MultiPlay (now owned by Unity) is gearing up to be a/the gaming platform for Unity based games.

A casual 'life simulation game' and beautiful graphics... Looks like something I would enjoy. I will be adding this to the long list of games on my Steam Wishlist. Hopefully they will have a good sale price during the Steam Winter sale. (Three Days and you can bet I am counting!)

I love the concept of Kickstarter. Whenever someone mentions that they are supporting a Kickstarter project, I am jealous; but not jealous enough to give them my credit card number. I have one friend that I support on Kickstarter. To accomplish this I have to go to the store and purchase a VISA Gift Credit Card for the amount. This is more work than I am willing expend for anyone other than an IRL friend.
This project is different, it allows you to use PayPal to support their project! This is not through Kickstarter, but through the Moi Rai Games website. Very smart! In addition, the Kickstarter page and the website have a polished look and feel. This project got my backing.

Very Nice Review BTRE!
Simple, but yet engaging... that is a combination that I can get behind. I was on my Steam Wishlist, but moved it into the Top Ten after reading this review.
Thanks BTRE

Simple and not too serious, sounds like a game that fits my personality to a T (tee). I went to Steam and hit the "Purchase for myself" button. I also noticed that Iceberg Games is having a giveaway, "Win 3 Free Iceberg Interactive Games of your Choice!" According to the Steam page:

The winners will be announced next week.
