Yay, I can get 40+ minimum frames now :D But that blur sure is awful; hopefully some clever person figures it out.

Darksiders Linux Port Looks Like It Is Still Happening
28 Jan 2015 at 4:25 pm UTC

I don't think I enjoyed it much on console, but if the port's good I'd love to give it another shot. But while we're talking about games that are still coming... [External Link] ;)

The Witcher 2 Has A New Beta For Linux, The Improvements Are Staggering

Woah, they've definitely made strides since initial release (Granted, I couldn't say exactly since I had a different GPU back then). Even on High settings with my GTX 760 the game rarely even touched 60 FPS, instead residing between 70-130 depending on whether I was inside or outside (I tested this in the "To the Temple" section). Even on Ultra (super sampling enabled) it managed to stay between 40-70 approx (Keep in mind I game at 720p).

Also, I can't confirm this, as this was pretty casual testing, but adding "__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1 %command%" to my launch options seemed to benefit my FPS even more. I can't say for sure if it helps, I just remember it working well with BL2.

Speaking of actually playing, does anyone know a good and concise walk-through of the first Witcher's plot? Or if it runs well on WINE? Witcher 2 looks great, but I'm pretty lost in this world.

I have noticed when I get to play the fancier AAA stuff lately I seem to be much more interested in benchmarking them than playing initially :P

Dying Light Released For Linux, Some Thoughts, You May Want To Wait

Getting 22-30 FPS in the open world on my GTX 760 with settings on lowest :( My controls bug out when I enter the safe house for the first night too. Hoping for a patch soon.

Dying Light Is Now Confirmed For Linux, Bring It On Techland

While this is exciting, $60 is a bit much to drop on a gamble for this working joe ;) However, I'll be feverishly waiting on performance reports and TB/Jim Sterling's thoughts on the game next week :)

Dying Light From Techland Has A Little Hint About Linux Support

Fantastic news for Linux gaming :) Though the 4 player co-op concerns me as well. The Borderlands/Dead Island thing isn't too appealing to me. I find playing co-op online stressful in those games, and the single player just isn't very good imo. But as long as it's balanced and the main game is actual good, maybe it'll be okay :S:

Metro 2033 Redux & Metro Last Light Redux Launch On Linux, Sorta (UPDATED)
13 Dec 2014 at 4:27 am UTC

What has everyone been using to benchmark fps? Glxosd produces black boxes in Metro Redux for some reason. The game seems to run okay; occasionally graphical glitches on my GTX 760 (driver version 331.38).

This may be one of the most demanding games on Linux, but it's certainly not my favorite from a technical standpoint. Anyone else remember that beautiful options menu from Borderlands 2?

Quoting: berillionsSomeone has a solution to change the game's resolution ?
There isn't this option in game ...
Whaaaat? :0 Would you mind sharing a screenshot of the options menu? If it's like the original Last Light I will not be pleased.
