Only If Free Adventure Game Released On Steam For Linux
29 Jul 2014 at 8:42 pm UTC

Played a bit, can't say I was impressed; after watching more via playthrough I was even less so. The dev seemed to be going for a weird experimental kind-a-thing, which I have no problem with. However, my experience mainly consisted of a very silly voice actor yelling at me over disconnected narrative. Maybe if the execution was better this would've been interesting, but if you miss the mark it just feels like you're playing gibberish: Can't recommend.

Quoting: GuestIt’s totally unplayable for the moment due to mouse issues and other things.
You can get into the config file and change fullscreen value to 0; but I don't think it's worth the effort, personally.

Gods Will Be Watching Now Out For Linux, And It's Hard
26 Jul 2014 at 9:25 pm UTC Likes: 1

Quoting: oldrocker99It's hard, all right, and is not something you'll breeze through. It's not skill-based, so it's not like, say, Limbo, but it's hard. A certain amount of b*tching could be found about its difficulty (you know, the kind of people who think Caps Lock is a passport to coolness), but that's what is good about the game.
While I do enjoy challenging games, I don't think difficulty in itself is a good quality. I want to be challenged, maybe even flustered, but not frustrated and bored. Super Meat Boy was pretty good about hitting the sweet spot (mind, I hated the final boss fight with a passion). However when I played the original Gods Will Be Watching it just wasn't very fun, which made the difficulty tedious to deal with.

To quote Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation, "bread goes hard if you leave it out on the side-walk, but it's hardly an improvement." :P

Feral Interactive Are Teasing New Linux Games UPDATED
25 Jul 2014 at 6:15 pm UTC

Interesting little puzzle they've given us. The first two games 3 games are spelled out, but the rest have just hints. Here's what I've found so far:

The old tapestry portrait is of constantine xi palaiologos of the Byzantine Empire with the caption "Starship Enterprise?"

I don't know anything about "The New Stone Age" one, save for that the icon is obviously an American flag with the word "powerful", but image search turns up nothing.

The "Harmful Elements" picture appears to be canine distemper, a disease which affects dogs

The "Pathetic Humans" picture turns up Operation Flashpoint upon image search, but I'm not convinced.

So, get on that, penguins :P

Among The Sleep Is Now Playable On Linux

Erm, have you played it yourself, Liam? I'm having problems on the second level and cannot progress (I would link my report on the Steam Forums, but Steam is apparently having issues presently). However I can confirm the graphical glitches are gone.

Edit: Here it is [External Link]

Valve Have Another New Design For The Steam Controller

While I do like thumb-sticks, I'd really like I nice D-Pad for when I'm in a NES/SNES mood. Even the 360's is very annoying. Guess I'll have to keep my PS3 controller handy.
