* X4: Foundations [External Link]
Still sucks me in and is fun for me. Only drawback IMHO is the micromanagement to get skilled pilots in a decent amount of time - but there is a mod for it :-)
A great game with devs supporting Linux very well IMHO
* ARK [External Link]
I play this on a private server with my son. A nice game to have fun in a chilled way.
* Of course CS:GO from time to time.
* Observer [External Link]
Perhaps I find time to play this one - but not sure. I bought it a year ago or so...

Assassin's Creed Valhalla announced, will release on Stadia but no Steam release (EGS)

Quoting: CatKillerI lost interest in the series after the few I played on the PS3, but this does seem like the worst possible way of doing things: go through the effort of porting the game to Linux & Vulkan, but then go specifically with Linux-hostile methods so they couldn't sell it to Linux customers even if they could be bothered to.You can be sure, they do not even think a second about Linux. Stadia promises Money, Linux does not. So simple (and sad)

But I will have a look at the Split Story.

Quoting: PatolaX4: Foundations [External Link] of course, it is my favorite game and I have 505 h on it by now, the Split DLC is great although I find the reddish aspect too cartoonish, but mechanically the game has reached close to the best possible, it is the only game with story that I know in which you can have as much if not more fun if you completely ignore the story and go your own way smuggling, raiding, trading, exploring or whatever else you want to do. And yes, now it has a story, it has improved on all aspects, and it just works with no glaring bugs or whatnot (although some people on other threads reported some problems with e.g. controls -- I think your mileage may vary).Yeah, that is exactly my experience. I widely ignored any story elements and go for my goal to build up a mega station. Actually it is quiet big, but I am searching for a station where I can steal the Blueprints for fieldcoil production - I haven't found one but it must exist, as I get fieldcoils deliverd.
But I will have a look at the Split Story.
Paradox confirm a large free update for Stellaris in May, and it hit a big concurrent player peak recently

Stellaris is really a great game.
If I had more time, I would start another play through.
Paradox is doing a great job in supporting and developing this game.
Next thing for me is surely buying the Lithoids DLC and play another game of Stellaris. But first I have to play a lot more of X4.

That is, where I sink a lot of hours into. It is really a great game. Sadly, they released it a year to early and ruined their reputation a bit.
I bought Split Vendetta also, but I don't know much about it yet. The Split ships look great and they are quite aggressiv. This alone makes the game even more interesting.
I am wondering a bit, that so few Linuxers seem to play it, as egosoft does a good Linux support and the game is great.
* Elder Scrolls Online [External Link]
I tried this with my son. It is not really my game. It is kinda boring IMHO. Perhaps I give it another try.
But a real story game in coop with a 13 year old is something I did not find yet.
* CS:GO [External Link]
Always something I like to play. But since the player count rose so much, the Death Match is often stuttering.
* Plague Inc. [External Link]
Nice one to play in coop. Always good for an hour of fun.

Quoting: Liam DaweIt's very clear [External Link] it's entirely open. There is no hour limit during this time.I was confused by the "Free Trial" ad on the main page.

According to their website, it is only for a maximum of 8 hours playtime for PC. That is not really "free to play until 1 June" IMHO.

I play X4 since Dec 19 and I like it a lot.
It gets better and better. One of the best native Linux games IMHO. I have not bought Vendetta yet. But the base game is great and on sale on Steam ;-)
I will buy Vendetta in the next days.

I play the Beta 3 since December and sunk more than 70 hours into it.
The game is great and absolutely recommendable.
If you like sandbox games, where you have a lot to explore, a lot to try out and can do what you want, you should give it a try.
There are still things to optimize, but it runs well, is a lot of fun and they support Linux in a great way. Do you need any more reasons to buy it?

- You want to be a trader? -> no problem!
- You want to be a pirate? --> OK!
- You want to build big space stations --> Do it!
- You want to fight --> Hell yes, why not!
- You want to sabotage your competitors' production facilities? --> go for it!
- You want to play honest and friendly--> possible too!
- You want to do a mixture of the above--> no problem!
- You want to fulfill contracts for factions--> YEP
- and that is not all that is possible to do

Metro Exodus to get a release date for Linux "soon" say 4A Games

I think I will buy this one. The first two titles are in my library since ... a long time. I will play them and if I like the story, I will by Exodus. I think the priority to support companies making AAA games as Linuxnative is much higher than being offended because of the EPIC fail.

Quoting: celphyPretty torn over here. EGS exclusivity is a no-go for me.I look at it in a positive way. The Epic-Customers made a great betatest for the steam customers - that's ok isn't it?
But I'd like to support a Linux version ASAP.
