So finally a little nice move from EPIC.
It does not really heal the harm they caused to Linux gaming (pulling games with Linux support exclusively to their non-Linux-store), but it is a nice move anyways.
So lets be friendly and thank them, it is a move in the right direction and every way to go starts with the first (small?) step.
Perhaps Mr. Sweeney can be more linuxfriendly in the future. I can remember, that EPIC once was a linuxfriendly company.

I ignore them, but I do not ignore what Liam wrote. Two different things...

Quoting: EikeHonestly, I do not get your point.Quoting: einherjarAbsolutely NOT. I really don't care a single bit. This sounds like you do care, in a nagative way.
I play games to have fun. All these Badges and so on are absolutely uninteresting to me. I can't see, what is the advantage for me? Gaming is not more fun (for me), with these things.
You can't just ignore them?

If there will be great games for VR well playable on Linux, I will buy me a Valve Index.
But as I am old enough, a few weeks or months doesn't matter.
So I will wait and see, what this game really is like. Actually Information is rare but the game seems to really have potential to be great.

It is a good move, that everyone can play the new missions.
I really don't understand, why people like battle passes. They are like a TODO List at work. I play games for fun, not to fullfill tasks within a given time.
I hope they will modernize CS:GO soon with better graphics, better physix, and so on.

Stadia looks to be very limited at launch and not just the amount of games

Sounds smart to me.
Instead of a "Big Bang", they do an incremental implementation of their new service.
Nothing wrong with that.
They start with a small user base and optimize it while they are bringing new features and get more customers on it.
The early adopters give feedback and you learn from that while making your product bigger - that´s how you do it.

I am not sure, if this is a game for me, as I dislike the movies.
I own the first two titles, but never had time to play them.
Do you need the knowledge of the first titles, to enjoy the story?

I don't need it. I can not see any advantage over using Firefox.
And hey, it is MS. They are only nice if they are forced to and I am sure, they have some strategy in mind that leeds to the next Vendor Lock In.
And do I want to give them access to my privacy? NO! If I wanted that, I would be using Win10 :P
