If this issue only affected "users who have an old firmware.", is there a way to update that firmware? Or are you stuck on whatever firmware came with the card?

I think my mate was affected by this issue, but looking at firmware updater I don't see anything for the GPU there :/

So I got SOC working using the launch option mentioned, and the into movie worked too, but the game fails to capture my mouse cursor? So my mouse is moving around the screen all the time, and I have two monitors, so the mouse just leaves the monitor the game is on, and when I click the game pauses because it's unfocused..

This happened on the OG games for me as well, but the mouse cursor wasn't visible over the game, so I could just turn my second monitor off and the game would work fine.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I switched to experimental and got through the shader compile.. or maybe I just got lucky that time

Great to see you enjoying DayZ Liam! Probably my favourite game of all time, and I only started playing after Bohemia enabled BattlEye support for Proton.

Pretty awesome when developers actually seem keen to have their games working on Linux, which I believe Bohemia is, considering they were one of the first developers to take advantage of these proton compatible anti cheat options, and they actually fix bugs that only affect Linux users.

Because of that I've been able to have many many awesome adventures, make new friends, play on whacky modded servers, and just have the best time in this amazing game :)

I guess you can set it to whatever you need. I use CTRL-PAGEUP for marking, and CTRL-PAGEDOWN for capture. I just don't use it very often though (see my Microphone comment above), so I don't know other keys are matching that combination and triggering.

If I try to set it to Ctrl-PageDown by pressing the keybinding in the box it enters it as Ctrl+' :dizzy:

I'm getting the exact same behaviour 😬, haven't actually set a keybind as a result, would need to test if it actually works, despite showing random keys when setting up.

For example, my numpad numbers are entered as ABCDEF.. so weird.

I was right with you though Liam, tried play Shadow of Chernobyl maybe 4 or 5 times, and just couldn't really get into it.. but something kept calling me back to it, and one day it just "clicked", and I played through all of the 3 original games and loved them.

Definitely recommend you giving it another chance, once you get through the first few missions, get yourself a decent rifle, and get used to the shooting mechanics, the game really hits it's stride and there's nothing else quite like it.

Turn the difficulty up, and the crosshair off, and immerse yourself in the world and the atmosphere, so you can experience how it's all changed once Stalker 2 drops in September 😁

Damn, I bought this recently after playing Art of Rally and wanting to try a AAA Rally Sim.. I've been enjoying it too, so this is a real shame :(
