Just bought this a few days ago from the Feral Store and I'm loving it (as I knew I would!). Using the 390.48 driver as per the Arch repos with a GTX970 (1080p) and it's been super smooth on high settings (roughly between 60 - 80 fps). Some of the cut scenes were not as smooth as they could be however.
Is the beta opt-in a full download again? I'll try it if not.

Loved the first one (Feral port) and will be picking this up from their store. I rarely pay full price (lack of funds rather than being tight ;) ) but will show my support for their great work.
Also, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but my game purchases have been slowing down over the last year or so due to the backlog of GOOD games I've yet to play

Fantastic game, will be having a crack at this very shortly. I'll also chase that bunny for a bit, although I'm not too bothered about the outfits in general.

Quoting: Froz1984Can anyone confirm this? I haven't bought it yet and won't if true.Quoting: fabertaweXCOM 2 Collection is 70% off at www.fanatical.com [External Link]I think Feral won't see a dime from Fanatical. At least that's the last I've heard. :(

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll start a vanilla game then shortly after start a new WOTC game, compare the two and take it from there. Either way (or both) it should be fun!

I suspect you're advocating starting with WOTC ;)
Edit: I've read up and get the impression some (most) of the other DLC is just fluff or even just annoying - as in the case of "Alien Hunters".

Quoting: EhvisAsk yourself this: when after finishing a campaign of maybe 40 or 50 hours, will you have the time and drive to do it a second time?Quite possibly! If I really like a game I can put in a lot of hours. If it's a case of repeating the same things but far more enjoyably (if I start the first time with WOTC) then I'd rather repeat it "more enjoyably" too. I suppose it's a case of whether WOTC is a different, additional experience or whether it's just an upgrade on vanilla.

A bit late to the XCOM party but anyway... ^_^ ...thought I'd post here rather than start a new thread, hope that's ok.
Only recently I played my first turn based game - Steamworld Heist and really enjoyed it. So looking through my vast collection of unplayed :dizzy: games I thought I'd try another turn based game, this being XCOM (1). Although a lot more complicated than Steamworld Heist I'm really getting into it and I'm probably about half way through and already thinking ahead to XCOM 2.
Now the thing is, I went straight into "Enemy Within" skipping "Enemy Unknown" as I'd read it was what "the original should have been". So my question is, should I jump straight into "War Of The Chosen" or play XCOM 2 vanilla first? Also, as it's "The Collection" should I play with all DLC activated from the start? Is there any benefit to playing in some sort of order?
Many thanks!
