Developers Are Unhappy With Steam Having So Many Titles Released So Quickly

I never scroll through the games banner on the store front page and always go the the Linux/SteamOS section. And as has been said already, unless a game is new on all platforms then it does not show up on the first page but is buried deep within somewhere with the date it was originally released on Windows.

As far as I'm personally concerned, a game's best chance of catching my eye is getting an article on this here very site! ;)

Oh, and while I remember, the thing that really annoys me is when the list is spammed with "Crusader Kings II: this, that, the other and a thousand more things!". I guess there's no alternative to that though.

Sanctum 2 FPS/Tower Defence Hybrid Now Has An Open Beta On Steam

Seemed to work pretty well for me, considering the warning. Played through the intro level no problem but crashed to desktop at the start of the next.

Looks like it'll be a fun game when it's polished up and a steal at that price.

Unity 5 Announced With WebGL Exporting, Will They Fix Linux Mouse Woes?

The only Unity game I have (as far as I'm aware!) is "Sir, You Are Being Hunted" and I've never had this mouse issue. It's still in Alpha too. It's good to be aware of it though.

@stan - well I have no idea what's going on with your crazy setup :P but I've just tried the stock kernel from the repos and I got exactly the same frame rates as with -ck, maybe even 2 to 3 fps better.

Wow, didn't expect that. I know ck helps with desktop responsiveness generally but I didn't think it could make much of a difference in this sort of case.

Well you're heading in the right direction anyway! Happy gaming :D

And there's me thinking everything favoured Intel CPUs! I've always bought AMD CPUs purely because they've been better value for money (so far anyway - and always ones that aren't the latest, so reduced in price also).

As regards "ondemand" - I have up_threshold at 30 and "performance" is still noticeably zippier on the desktop (at least). Changing the governor is very trivial anyway. I'm running kernel 3.13.6-1-ck at the moment but this shouldn't be a factor.

Looking at the link you posted, there shouldn't be such a difference between our systems  but at least you can play it :D SS3 Jewel Of The Nile was fun as well.
