Quoting: MetallinatusYes! I've been waiting long for this one too!
After that L4D will be the only Valve game to not offer a Linux version yet :D
but it doesn't really matter that it doesn't have a linux version since L4D2 is basically an extended version of L4D1
also you forgot about alien swarm, that game also doesn't have a linux version
True! I actually didn't know that was a Valve game.... but considering it doesn't have even an OS X version yet, I wonder if Valve itself didn't "forget" about the game :(
And saying that L4D doesn't matter 'cause of L4D2 is like saying that HL doesn't matter 'cause of HL Source....
Each game has its own unique identity and I want to play them all ;)

Puppy Games Aren't Impressed With Linux Sales (UPDATED)
9 Sep 2014 at 7:07 am UTC Likes: 1

I can't help but notice that he says "over the last two years" when Steam for Linux was released "only" 19 months ago....
Also, only one of the four games was released after Steam for Linux, and that was only a month after, so I personally doubt that the game was released with Linux support on Steam from day one.
So we must wonder how much time it took for them to bring said support to at least three of the four games.... maybe to all the four.
Going to the point, all the four games were on Steam for Linux on probably much less than 19 months, so saying "the last two years" was definitely not fair with the real time frame.
But, just for the matter of precision.... do anyone know the exactly release dates on Steam for Linux?

Steam Hardware Survey For August 2014, Linux Slips

SteamOS will probably just appear as another distro.... there is no sense on separating two operation systems that share the same games library on the survey.

Trine Enchanted Edition May Have A Linux Beta

Quoting: abelthorne
Quoting: nllaAre there any gameplay caveats for the enchanted edition in comparison to the original one? If not then it's no big deal I guess.
Trine EE is basically Trine 2 modded to replace its levels by the ones from Trine. So there are a few changes like the characters skills being the ones from Trine 2 (a few of theme were different from the first episode) and some small gameplay modifications. Not a big deal in any case.

I guess this was a bit more detailed on a previous article here, or maybe I saw that on the Steam forums.

EDIT : I've found a pretty complete post there: http://steamcommunity.com/app/35700/discussions/0/35221584417695911/ [External Link] (see Daemonologist's post)
In another words.... this is some kind of "Trine Redux", where they just "remade" the first game using the engine and other improvements from the second game.... I'm fine with that :D

Trine 2 is fun, so I will probably be buying this one once it is on Linux :D
And why do I have this funny felling that we will still see Trine on Linux before 7 Days To Die?

Quoting: toorBroken Cinnamon? Using it, and sometimes it freezes, that's what you are talking about?
Nah, many things happened actually.... many things have been happening for months which prevented me from using that PC during all that time.... the last "thing" was that basically, aside from the lack of direct rendering preventing me from playing any Steam game, the desktop background and the panel were just not appearing at all, which, of course, limited a lot my use of the OS and I preferred to just stay with my laptop....
Then I just decided to download and install AMD's new beta driver yesterday and now the PC works fine and it seems to be even performing better than ever before....
For the first time ever HL2E1 ran with no lag and even Witcher 2 is running fine on medium settings! :D
See, AMD? That is what happens when you make a good driver.... was is that hard?

Well, since you ask, I just installed a new Beta Driver which happened to finally fix the broken Cinnamon, so I at least hope to celebrate being finally able to play on my Linux desktop again :|
Well, happy birthday, Linux! :D
