Oooh, nice! I will be keeping an eye on this one.
By the way, the link to the Kickstarter page is broken, it's missing an "n" at the end (currently says "descriptio").

[...]a fancy rebranding, to remove the terrible GamerOS naming.Couldn't agree more, the previous name was absolute cringe.
Talking point: what have you been playing recently?

As for me, I've been getting back into Faeria. Of course, being the social butterfly that I most certainly am, I've just been playing the single player stuff, which is surprisingly extensive for a multiplayer-based CCG.

RWR is an excellent game. My friends and I enjoy playing it quite a bit. That is, we started to AFTER we've set the difficulty down a few notches.
This is because, bafflingly, the default difficulty is set to Veteran, which is the hardest. This is not a mistake, but a conscious decision by the devs. [External Link] I was the host and didn't notice this, which lead to a very boring back-and-forth between us and the AI. In the end we gave up in frustration, not even finishing the first map. Fortunately, I later spotted the difficulty setting and set it to Casual, which was leagues better for us.
If anyone is at all interested in this game and doesn't want to bounce off it in a matter of minutes, for the love of all that is holy, set it down to Casual. Teamwork and coordination are imperative and if you're anything like us, you'll be bumbling through the first few hours of the game. You WILL need that extra wiggle room, because the game is going to be challenging enough, trust me.
Oh, and be sure bring briefcases and laptops back to the armory, they unlock stuff.

Got Vintage Story just last month. A few observations. First, you have to make a separate account on the dev's website to run the game. Not a fan of this, but I'll live.
Second, if you'll notice, one of the first sentences on the page is "Vintage Story is an uncompromising wilderness survival sandbox game". Holy shit, do NOT ignore this like I did. Going in thinking this is a Minecraft clone will only leave you disappointed. It's a hardcore survival game, closer to the TerraFirmaCraft mod. It's still fun and very feature-rich even in early access, but casual this is not.
Third, some fiddling may be required for the game to work with the itch launcher, as was the case for me. Regrettably, I forgot what it was I did that made it run, but I think I had to change something in the run.sh file. I may be wrong.

Quoting: DebianUserWow, that is so completely unnecessary. This is just me guessing, but they probably didn't want to make and maintain two separate versions of the game - censored and uncensored - so they just made the latter and called it a day.Quoting: ixnariIts seems that all enemies symbols (german, japanese) are removed and not replaced by anything (swastikas, iron cross, Japanese Imperial symbols)Quoting: DebianUserWow, i have finished this game years ago... on PS2 i think.Would you happen to have a list or a link of things censored in this game?
That's good news, but i see reviews are not good.
This version seems to be censored... bad.
Animations of burning ennemies are removed too.
No changes in gameplay, but very disappointing (the dev has said it was to not break the law on different countries, but... its not a viable argument, since these symbols are allowed in representation of historical events all over the world).
One country have banned this symbols: Germany, but it's not the case anymore (since 2018) in this context.

But, to do so we have had to bear a negative return on investment because of high costs of testing and QA compared to the low demand of LinuxOh, please. How is this news? How was this ever news? The devs should have known the Linux market was small when they launched the kickstarter. Or worse, they actually did know and decided to cash in on the hype anyway.

I tried playing Shadow Tactics a while back. I was having fun right up until mission 5 or so (the one with Hayato and Yuki), then I found myself saving every other minute, because the slightest misstep resulted in a mission failure. It felt like I was supposed to progress throught the mission in a very specific way, leaving little room for creativity and improvisation.
