itch.io is hosting another big Queer Games Bundle for Pride Month

Not sure what to think. I’m all in favor for everyone to love who they want to. I could "donate" 10€ to support this idea for sure. But, as a gamer point of view, these bundles on itchio or elsewhere are so often filled with trash-ish games... Just looking quickly at the list here, i didn’t see anything i’d actually enjoy playing.

In the same genre i’d say, a new game to come that seems great : Helldivers 2.

Fanatical's Prestige Collection build your own bundle has some good picks

The games are cheap (from 8€), and they are expensive at the same time. I’m used to see bundle with several games for less than 5-10€ on Fanatical. Rarely i buy anything, but still, i was somehow surprised to see "pick 2 For €16.99".

Some nice selections on this bundle anyway.

Quoting: pageroundThis lemur looks like a great machine. I remember the age of netbooks but couldnt get myself to go smaller than a 12-inch screen.
@Tchey and @Pengling, have you seen this device? Looks like a netbook to me. https://www.crowdsupply.com/mnt/pocket-reform

That’s at least 1000$ per unit without accessory. Also, too tiny for my taste and hands...

I miss the time of the eeePC from Asus, back in 2008 i think. Linux native, light, cheap (less than 400€), "real" computer (opposed to tablet with tactile stuff, or worst, smartphone), they were perfect for real nomad use, office, internet, 2D games or many small indie or roguelike, etc. And durable, i still boot mine from time to time when i’m on the move.

I had a eeePC 901, played Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead, X@COM, TOME4... My current eeePC is unknown (nothing written on it, i think it’s 1201 but not sure), and rarely opened, but sometimes, a couple of weeks a year, i’d say, it’s usefull.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is a little janky but so much fun

My issue with these games is, i find it fun to play with total strangers randomly logged in, and at the same time i really hate playing with people yelling in the mics, panicking, swearing etc. I’ve always been a very calm and quite player, never yell or stress or throw my mouse over the desk or anything like that. For years i was still typing on keyboard, players muted, while "everyone else" was already on mics...

European Commission approves Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard

Hahaha... haha... hahahaha... European Commission... Hahahaha... Money wins again. No surprise here.

I must say i don’t really care about all the big studios lives, however, i do care than more and more part of the world "stuff" are legally belonging to less and less people. Politics, press, media, book, roads, games, companies... and us... are in the hands of a few hypercorpo.

Nice article, they become rarer these days, as they take time and knowledge and experience, not only copy/paste editor’s publication.

One huge miss from the list IMO would be Sacred 1&2. They are both excellent games. The first one was largely flawed, but also terribly audacious and refreshing. Open world, secrets to find, lots of easter eggs, nice classes to play...

Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, Sacred, Torchlight, Titan Quest, Diablo, Path of Exile, Drox Operative, ... We’ve had some amazing games in the genre, just... not enough ! Also +1 Chronicon. And i have to mention SilverFall, really loved it back in... 2007 ? And some others i forget, and some others before, but that’s "too old" to be played nowadays maybe.

Not to mention games similar but different enough not be be on the list, such as Hellgate London.
