I don't understand the hype for this game. It's pretty empty, when you look at what you can do. I did play at release for about 12 hours, then i thought i've seen it all. All updates released since then just add more of the same, in my opinion.

There is no PvP, it's completly oriented PvE (but there is an arena), and it's often compared to the good old Asheron Call (2) in spirit. It has tons of neat ideas (playing an animal for one), secret (you have to discover several skills via exploration and accomplishment), a uncommon quest system where you can befriend NPC doing them favor, to get reward, better shop, more money...

I play a spider (which is also a druid and a gardener), a bat (can fly for a short period) and a musician (like SWG pre-NGE, can buff listener and perform in bands), so far, since 2014 where i first play it. I'm not high level, i don't play a lot or often, but i do love to connect from time to time to enjoy the spirit, see the new stuff, and update my toons to the new systems/items/buff/whatever is new.

Spaceship building and combat game 'BossConstructor' now offers more customisation

Last time i tried, it was quite clunky and super repetitive, with weird controls over the ship and not fun combat.

I'll give it another go, thanks to your article.

I've sent you a couple of email about the game i think, to invite you to write a proper article.

I'm following it since 2014 (french link) : http://forums.jeuxonline.info/forumdisplay.php?f=172&sf=2436 [External Link]

It's truly interesting, and the community is nice too. Sure it's somehow ugly, but it's not an issue if you prefer to think gameplay over shiny things.

We have over 150 beta keys of the co-op MMO 'Dead Maze' to give away

Awesome !

I really enjoyed the game so far (about 30+ hours, level 35, i'm done with the main quest now i'm free to grind). It's much mone than a "flash game", it's actually a real MMOG with several great ideas (levels are flat, for once, ie lvl 250 or lvl 10 characters have almost the same hitpoint, gears, possibilities...).

It has very little, r nothing, to do with Zomboid gameplay. Just imagine the zombies are anything else, monsters, gobelins, whatever, and play like a MMOG/Diablo game, not like a survival crafting game. You have to survive, and you can craft, but you cannot fortify a house, set traps, etc, only use skills and weapons like any MMOG/Diablo games.

In french, i did several videos on the game :

Indie fighting game 'Rivals of Aether' may come to Linux

The issue i find with late ports is that they are too late, most of the time. Other games came in the mid-time, and list of "to play" games is only going longer. Also, for online play, when Linux comes late, it also means the main activity around the game is done, and player base moved to another title.
