I think i'd like to play none of the most quoted games so far (NieR, Tomb Raider...).

Or it could be a game from a londonian studio.
Or Bus Simulator
Or GTA 7
Or Stranded Island
Or Brexit Behavior

Funny. Me, i absolutely don't care about the "story" in a self called "sandbox" game. A setting is enough, and we have it. The story, as much as almost everything in the game, should be player driven.

So many players, with so many different wills...

Can you run mods from the Steam Workshop ? I only have a blank page in the Mod Manager launcher, and no mod i've tried is showing. Is it me, or the game, or else ? The game itself has no issue running.

Quoting: Kimyrielle"Massive" doesn't mean that you need a massive amount of people to get anything done. It just means that you are sharing the world with a massive amount of people. You can be a lone wolf in such a game and still enjoy being a part of a large community and interacting with them indirectly, e.g. by crafting or trading.
Yep, totally this.

I've played about 30-40 MMOG since 1999 and i enjoyed most of them being solo or in small -often picked up- groups, and i enjoyed this a lot.

Have you tried Albion yet, what do you think?
I play Albion since summer 2016, in small touches as i hate grinding for nothing (wipe before release) and too many changes in development to really "play", so i only "test". Or tested, as i am now waiting for the last wipe to start again.

It has great potential, but great flaws too.

I think we can talk a lot about Albion, but we won't know how it really plays until next falls, when first players have left, and "real" players have settled, with a real economy going on.

I hate the GUI, more specifically the destiny board, completely ugly and badly designed. I fear also the game will only be enjoyable for zerg guilds with heavy hardcore players who can sustain high level stuff. Also, there is very little room for roleplayers, if any, as all the game is going toward a fighting process (gather to build weapons to kill to get resources to gather to...). So, the "sandbox" is looking more like an ammo box.

Me, i intend to play casual, solo with random group, not willing to be high ranked or famous.

The spherical maps are a huge miss-conception of a cool idea.

This, and the aweful way they handled the community with PA and PA:T make me dislike and the game, and the company.

At last...

Well, the game itself is not so great anyway, and they prefered to sell DLC instead of fixing some bugs and improving QOL stuff, to make Cossack more 2017-ish. Still "nice", but clearly not a great RTS game.

The game is dying a lot. They don't know what to do to keep players and attract new ones. I'm following it since early 2015, and i bought the game mid-2015 i think, and it has never managed to "start". They did many sales, giveaway, events... but the game is never "alive" more than a few weeks a drop again. Official forum since the beginning is very quiet. Their last move was to change the Premium options for something less "must have", but at same time they also changed so to have a private server you must have Premium account, so...

Not sure what to think about the game itself. I think they failed. Haven&Hearth is still superior despite its age, and even the newcomer Rogalia has more to offer.
