I agree, great game, didn't find its place on the market, but maybe with some time and advertisment, it will, like many "hidden gems" should.

It's the ultimate combo between all Soldak's previous games. However i still prefer Drox Operative for its space setting. This week they started to talk about the next step : http://www.soldak.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37179 [External Link]

Also, i asked :

I'm curious, would you share numbers regarding Linux sells ? Is it worthy to support in your opinion ? Why did you do it ? Would you do it again ? Will you do it again for your next game ?

It looks like Linux might be about 3% of our sales. From a profit standpoint it probably has not worked out, but I think supporting Linux is nice for other reasons (open OS, don't like the direction Windows/OSX are going, good community, etc).

Unless I changed to a new engine that didn't have Linux support or radically changed the current engine, there really isn't a reason to drop Linux support. I've already done the hard work.

Feral = 30€
Steam Halloween sales = 15€
GMG = 7€

I'm struggling, not to buy it, or to by it cheap "for Windows", as i can't afford buying a game before next Xmas.

When i buy my foor a little more expensive too support local and organic, the final product is not the same. A plastic tasteless tomatoe, or a delicious one for 30% more.

But the game is the game, same exact final product...

Midway, if i buy it on Steam, what is the part going to Feral ?

I find Alien Isolation over rated. I got bored playig it maybe 4 hours, expecting "something" to happen i didn't actually expect while i was on a railed way, then quit. Had the same feelings with the Metro games.
