Performance on my RTX 3080 isn't the best. But im actually impressed how good this old game can look. Even with DLSS on Performance on my 1440p screen the image looks really good and it runs 60+ with that setting at least.
DLSS ultra gives me ~30 FPS and Quality ~45 FPS. Not impressed by the performance really, but i guess thats the tax to pay. Looks nice though
Made a gameplay video also: https://youtu.be/tHrBw7LtaeU [External Link]

Intel using DXVK (part of Steam Proton) for their Windows Arc GPU DX 9 drivers

Quoting: Liam DaweYeah, they have few PR's on DXVK github also (by adamjer, who works at intel) that haven't been merged due to some problems, but at least it seems they contribute back.Quoting: ShmerlBut I wonder what's their motivation for such obfuscation in the code in the first place. It's going some extra length for sure.At a guess: stripping out what they don't need, and hacking away at DXVK to make it work to do what they need inside the driver.

Still no graphics pipeline library?
nvidia has had this since june in the vulkan dev drivers and now few months on stable and beta drivers
this is really a gamechanger with the shader stuff when it comes to DXVK.

Quoting: CorbenThey switched to EGL, nvfbc (which I'm also still using via OBS 27 as it's awesome, both performance-wise and usability-wise) needs GLX though. And they don't want to maintain GLX anymore.Yeah i heard that, but why switch from a working solution to something that breaks plugins :(
Quoting: CorbenThe OBS Linux maintainers said though, they've put in a lot of effort to make xcomposite capture much better and more performant. They advice to use windowed fullscreen for best results. Haven't tested it yet, but as other plugins are also dropping support for older OBS versions sooner or later, I'll probably upgrade at some point.Xcomposite is pretty similar to perf with nvfbc to be honest, thats not an issue really, but i have to select what window i want to record then every time and if i want to record whole desktop, its sad story. Fullscreen capture (XSHM) is just epicly slow when you launch a game on the desktop. nvfbc was performant in all situations.
Or nVidia implements nvfbc for EGL in their driver... ha, yeah, I know... but we can dream, can't we!

Quoting: GuestGreat now they need to fix the Xid 109 error on 525.53 in some DX12 via VKD3D games and I am all happy :DHmm Can you name games with that issue. So far from my testing only issue is Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem (Vulkan) has some shadow flickering on trees. Rest of the games i have tried have had no problems, DXVK, VKD3D, Vulkan or OpenGL. Also is that issue reported to nvidia or vkd3d-proton to investigation?

They still haven't reversed the commit that broke NvFBC it looks like :(
Still using the v27 because of that. I will have to look for alternatives soon i guess
