Steam Deck officially hits over 13,000 games Playable and Verified

Quoting: EikeLook your list up here: https://checkmydeck.ofdgn.com/
I bet most of your "unsupported" games are "Valve is still working on...", which usually means that it works all fine.

This is the site i used yes.. For example EA Sport WRC shows unsupported, but i have been playing it since launch. Clocked 75 hours in it. Sons of the Forest is another one. Works perfectly.
Portal RTX, WRC Generations, WRC 10, Dirt Rally 2.0, RAGE, State of Mind, Mafia, Mafia 3 Definitive Edition, Valley, Project Cars 2, Elder Scroll online just to name few that are marked as unsupported but working without issues on my Linux PC.

But i guess they are somehow unsupported on Steam Deck maybe.

Edit: What i meant that they were tested by valve but marked unsupported i guess due deck incompatibilities?

Pretty sure everything i have on my library works on linux. Though i guess there could be few free to play games that have anti-cheat and not working, which i have downloaded.

113 unsupported is way too much though, but its steamdeck verification.

VERIFIED: 165 games (19.86%)
PLAYABLE: 333 games (40.07%)
UNSUPPORTED: 113 games (13.60%)
UNKNOWN: 220 games (26.47%)

Feral GameMode v1.8 out now with CPU core pinning and parking

Quoting: hardpenguinMy decade old CPU still needs it lol. And since GameMode is a one-fits-all solution, all those settings are turned on regardless of the hardware.

Ahh that makes sense i guess for older CPUs as they cant use amd_pstate=active afaik?

Is this still even needed? The cpu governors used to be an issue like 6-7 years ago, but these days amd has amd_pstate and intel has its intel_pstate which are boosting correctly on the default governor so i dont really know whats the point of this.
I haven't noticed any difference when benchmarking stuff with this on or off at least.

Xorg is dead, long live Wayland - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) dropping Xorg

Few times i have tested wayland with KDE and Gnome.. its been a horrible unstable mess.
Since i use MATE as my Desktop Environment, i dont really have a choice currently either, so i dont really pay attention to the hypetrains going on with wayland. Everything i use/need works perfectly on X11 so far so no rush with that.

Will see again in 2 years

Quoting: benstor214I wish I could do business with you. Your money seems to be accessible enough.

In my opinion, the fact that this happens repeatedly is even more reason to loose the green check mark.
But of course apologists of giant corporations see it different: it’s completely okay for me to sell you a product that frequently stops working, because I couldn’t care less about you. Can I sell you a car that just stops running randomly because I “forgot” to click a button again? I mean… it would just be a simple mistake, right?

I wish I had a business where I could scam naïve apologists all day long. With customers like you it’s easy to afford a third yacht.

I didn't try to defend the devs/publisher at all. I was just saying that those things happen in software world.
It's still shitty thing to happen and that the fix is still not applied.

edit: it was more aimed at the comments like

"Yeah, they intentionally removed the file"

Worked for me.

you found a fix from 2 years old reddit thread? the .so file was updated in february and since then it has had thesame sha256sum

i made a backup of the file before update
$ sha256sum ./easyanticheat_x64.so
d971d8d9b4f68021ef3330d500f1c9a2b7e91e484a0d26c0233ad63fe8ac2388  ./easyanticheat_x64.so

people claim it works fine with that sha256sum of the file. I will wait for official fix though, but if anyone is in need of that file.. ask.
