No input bug for me but im using MATE desktop.

Anyway the game performance is just shitshow.

2560x1440 all maxed 23-40 FPS
2560x1440 all maxed, except shadow reflections, trees high, 43-65 FPS
2560x1440 all low, except textures full, 60-100FPS

1920x1080 all maxed 33-45 FPS
1920x1080 all maxed, except shadow reflections, trees high, 53-85 FPS
1920x1080 all low, except textures full, 80-130FPS

thats with a Ryzen 7 1700X @3.9Ghz and GTX 1080Ti

GPU is barely even used on max settings, 40-50% utilization only.

using taskset -c 0,2,4,6 improves perf about +5 FPS on 1440p and +10 fps on 1080p

seems they haven't done any CPU optimizations with this game at all..

edit: It seems that shadow reflections and trees are done with CPU not GPU, but not having more threads to use for this will cause the huge performance drop. as setting trees to lowest and disabling shadow reflections yields good FPS and even GPU usage goes higher then. 70-80% utilization then.

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port, time to start guessing

Quoting: kuhpunkt
Quoting: Xpanderuhh finally Flatout 2 whitelisted. A game that has been working perfectly in wine since 2008 :D
But the multiplayer servers are down :(
there were "fake" gamespy servers that work, you needed to point your hosts file from gamespy master server to the otherone, duckduckgo will probably give you answers!

The Steam for Linux limited beta was six years ago tomorrow, where's the cake?

Ohh yeah i remember being accepted to the first beta wave. I was so happy. I think only few Valve games and Serious Sam 3 were available at the start. What a ride it has been. So many games now + the proton stuff, its really hard to finish games now :)

Quoting: GuestDXVK also still seems to read the cards and drivers used correctly (with DXVK_HUD) like I said, it's probably not gonna change anything, I'm just worried it might break some games for nvidia cards, if this really was an issue, it should have been done on a per-game basis rather than for all games, considering it seems to be a rare issue in the first place.
its not rare at all, basically all the UE4 games have this issue, some unity games iirc and some other games.
the other way around is more rare. When you need to fake your AMD GPU as nvidia.

Great to see that nvidia GPUs are faked to AMD for games. This was causing lots of framerate issues on nvidia cards because UE4 games and some more called nvapi.dll when nvidia card was present and it just kept spamming it making performance go shit. Always had to manually fake the GPU.
DXVK_HUD still reports nvidia GPU though, so its all fine :)
