im still super annoyed that they don't provide multiplayer. Those types of games are boring when singleplayer only, unless they have really good story telling implemented.

The RPG Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues has gone free to play

This game is really terrible performance wise at least and it doesnt look visually good either.
I get huge stutters everywhere and 28-70 fps, pretty much no matter the settings, maxed or lowest. resolution 2560x1440.
AMD Ryzen 1700X @3.9ghz, GTX 1080Ti.

Havent seen so bad performing unity game in a while tbh.

No Brakes Games have discontinued Linux support for Human: Fall Flat

Last time i tried this game the multiplayer just crashed constantly for me, which made it unplayable. Singleplayer was fine though. It was few good months ago though. Sad to see things like these, instead of fixing the issues they just opt out.

Project Borealis, the fan-game aiming to make a 3rd Half-Life 2 episode now has a Performance Test for Linux

This is odd with the benchmark, Vulkan one was capped at 60 fps constantlyi also tried -NoVsync with no success

OpenGL (needed __GL_GlslUseCollapsedArrays=0 to make it render)

modified the script:
#!/bin/sh
BINDIR=$(dirname "$(readlink -fn "$0")")
cd "$BINDIR"
export __GL_GlslUseCollapsedArrays=0
LinuxNoEditor/projectborealis_ue.sh

Vulkan

It says 2000 fps as max, i saw 60 all the time, not even the minimum seems right as i didn't see it dropping below 60 anywhere.GPU was only 10% utlized on the Vulkan one, OpenGL one had GPU utilization around 65%

Quoting: Eike
Quoting: skinnyrafI hope they'll update drivers in SteamOS just as fast.
Meanwhile, Debian is stuck with 390.
Experimental is not as evil as it sounds and has got 396.54 at the moment:
https://packages.debian.org/experimental/nvidia-driver [External Link]
I did install from experimental several times and didn't run into problems.
Of course: no guarantee.
396.54 doest give you transform feedback. you need 396.54.09

The Linux market share on Steam is at a 14 month high as of September 2018

i doubt we will reach higher than 1% any time soon. Proton is great, but it still needs a lot of improvements to be just 1 click to download and play. Drivers still need to get up to date and so on and on. But we are on the right track with it. There are lots of people switching to linux (probably most of them won't stay for long though) as of late. Internet is full of "Hey i switched to Linux" posts. Linus Tech Tips Videos about the proton and Low Spec Gamer one really helped there also to raise some awarness i guess. Exciting times, but i doubt there will be any huge gains in the market share yet. Lets try to report and fix all those small and big issues before.

Quoting: AnanaceI just learned that Dirt: Rally 2 is coming, so even if the chance for a same-day is small I'm hoping that they're already on-board with getting a Linux version of that out as well.

Best damn rally game I've ever played - and still play, period.
Hint Hint, we have a GOL League going on for a year or more already. Current event is also running: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/3480

And yeah, i would love to get some new tracks and 2017 spec WRC cars. Bring on the Dirt Rally 2
