Great to hear its at least unity engine not the UE5 slop that nobody can optimize.
Lets see how it pans out ofc.
Thanks for the news!

FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) games return to NACON

Completely disagree. The previous WRC games were crap that came across as budget titles. It's sad that they are apparently the only ones who would take the license.
I disagree. While the production value and sound design was better in EA/Codemasters WRC game, the rest was pretty bad. You couldnt even swap individual tires on cars like in real life, the handling was kinda crap with the car pivot point being strange and way too much front grip. you couldn't drive off fences which were like concrete blocks, road surface visuals were awful, tarmac handling was also very bad. Just to mention few of the issues.

now the KT games production value and sound design was pretty bad, but the gameplay and handling was miles ahead.

FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) games return to NACON

Good. Better than EA/Codemasters at least.
Hopefully they don't switch to Unreal Engine and keep using their own engine for next WRC Game.
Its 2027 and onwards though. What happens with 2026 season then i wonder. Can Nacon update their Generations game to include 2026 season as DLC for example or something...

Wine 10.8 released with user handles in shared memory for better performance

Been playing Defiance for a week now. It's a very mediocre game tbh, but somehow its addictive. Gunplay is pretty decent. Its like Borderlands but mmorpg. Has nice world events where all people can just randomly meet up and eliminate bosses for rewards etc.

works great with proton-experimental. Nice to see such old game that got re-released (not on steam atm, Fawkes Launcher required) got a fix so fast.

Denuvo will lock you out of games on Linux, SteamOS, Steam Deck if you keep changing Proton versions

imagine blocking legit customers from accessing a game they bought.

When i see denuvo in the store page that means its instant no buy for me, unless its on like 75% sale and i really want the game...

EA and Codemasters no longer making WRC (World Rally Championship) or any other rally games

Good Riddance.

Hopefully at least KT Racing can get the license again now.

Would be nice if one of the simulator developers, like Asseto Corsa devs or so would make the next Game though.

Will see..

NVIDIA disclose new security flaw in their Linux GPU drivers
25 Apr 2025 at 6:08 am UTC

Wonder why they disclosed this a bit late?
Already on the 575.51.02 drivers since their release, but only just now they disclosed the security problems.

But anyway, great to see they update their drivers to fix security issues and sharing the info.

That looks pretty interesting. Snowepiercer indeed. Also has Co-op which is nice for games like these.
Added to wishlist!

11 bit studios are remaking the original Frostpunk in Unreal Engine 5 with Frostpunk 1886

Great. Another game to be run on the blurry unoptimized UE5 crap.
Tbh i just don't understand the "everything needs to be UE5" these days.
Welcome to upscalers, framegens and blurry mess.

Oblivion Remaster from the recent ones seems another UE5 slop again. Performs bad, looks pretty blurry and awful.
Compare that to something like KCD2 that looks a lot better and performs twice as good.

Ohh well...
