Dont know anything about that game or the issues, but does the Vulkan beta driver not fix the mesh shader issue?

Probably Day one purchase for me. Maybe i even pre-order which i never do, but seeing there are no major technical issues from the reviewers who already play it, i might grab it earlier to hopefully pre-load before release.
Finished the first game recently also which i somehow had stopped playing after 60 hours. Very immersive and great game imo. Combat on the first one was a bit strange, but i mostly used stealth or bow anyway. Love the historical accuracy on this also.
Can't wait to play the second game.

So far been great on MATE, X11 at least
No new issues to report yet, tiny bit of perf improvement (~5%) on dx12 games (cyberpunk2077 and wrc generations) since the 565 drivers.

I've been playing a fair bit of stalker-2 and noticed I was getting as much as 40fps less under Linux and it was quite noticeable. Probably compounded by Frame-Gen, still, ntsync and the new drivers should help a fair bit, I hopeStrange. I get better perf on Linux in STALKER 2, specially on CPU bottlenecked bigger camps. Other places seem about same in terms of performance.

Yes Please, but the other way around. Every damn game these days has massive UI's taking lots of screenspace for no reason on a 1440p 27" screen at least.
Scaling options should be default for every game indeed

This Game award voting is strange. I don't know 90% of those games. I don't own Steam Deck, I don't own VR.
Why can i even vote those?
Only know and played STALKER 2, No Man's Sky and Sons of the Forest lol

Ahh ok. Yeah i don't rebind WASD myself. Melee yeah sucks i want mouse sidebutton for melee also ,but that's unrebindable. flashlight i liked middle mouse. i just change all the quickslot stuff and leaning etc. that worked without issues..
will see with new patch i guess.
edit:

edit:
Quoting: starpolloGame is crashing while compiling shaders for me after the update :(no issues with shader compile for me. Loading times seems to have improved with this patch quite a bit also

the only problem i had with keybinding was that i couldn't bind melee attack separately. It had to be V as the default.
all the rest like leaning and quickslots etc i was able to rebind just fine

Quoting: Jarmer110 gb patch. That's just absurd, are you basically just redownloading the entire game?what was the issue with keybinding?
Also, I have one big question: did they fix the key bindings for kb/m at all? I played at a friends house and was astonished that such a basic functionality was totally broken.

But yeah UE5 is pretty awful usually. Also the freaking smearing is just insane in UE5 games. Everything is blurry AF... nanite and lumen are also kinda bullshit marketing words. Performance cost is just way too high for the blurry image you get imo

Quoting: sudoerDid they fix the stuttering of the despicable UE5?Didn't really have any stuttering since patch 1.02. Few framerate dips when getting into completely new area but not the stuttering like most other UE5 games had with each new effect on the screen. I guess it depends on the game and what shaders get precompiled.
