Valve have made some big changes to the Steam Reviews system

i mostly hate the reviews that doesnt tell anything about the game or the content itself, but just throw shit at developers or praise the developers without mentioning the reviewed game at all.
this needs some cleanup. you cant just give negative or positive raiting because of some developer actions, you have to review the said product!

my 2 cents

ARK: Survival Evolved gains a paid DLC while still being in Early Access, reviews are destroying it

Quoting: Gnurfos
Quoting: skinnyrafThere were some graphical glitches like flares or endless shadows, but the game is improving - or perhaps Nvidia drivers are improving?
Have you actually seen recent improvements in the domain of glitches or performance ? Or just other kind of improvements in general. I happily sunk a number of hours into the game, but calling it "finished" in the state it was in, would be very bold.
i havent seen those graphical glitches with the new map.. 4 hours of gametime only atm, but with old map i can get those glitches within 1-2 hours

Quoting: dubigrasuHm, judging from Xpander69's video it seems playable at around 55-65 FPS (without recording) and still looking rather good.

yeah its around 45-60 fps most of the time. goes up to 80 at places. somehow shadows have to be medium, all the rest can be on epic. shadows seem to be cpu bottlenecked(which is super strange) for me.

i quite like the game, lots of new content and much better visuals than with the old map.

i dont really care if its ethical to sell DLC for a early access game or not, i just care about the content im getting for the price and that seems pretty good compared to 90% of Early Access titles

my 2 cents

Rejoice in 'Guts and Glory' in this comically gory survival racing game in Alpha state

Sadly it looks like Shadow Warrior 2 won't be a day-1 Linux release

Quoting: m2mg2It may have been somewhat Fedora specific, or if you played somewhat recently it may have been fixed. It was ~2 years ago when I played it. I found the bad fix of killing pulse audio in a virtual terminal from someone through a google search so I was definitely not the only one.
i played it at launch day and then after the visuals/performance upgrade patch. However i use usb soundcard, if that makes difference.

I was so looking forward to play this with my new shiny GTX 1070

ohh well, at least we can hope that the port will be top quality like the first one
The port was generally good, except for a pretty major pulse audio bug that completely froze the game at almost every video until I switched to a virtual terminal and killed pulse audio. Don't know if they ever fixed that. Hopefully they can do even better since it was planned from the start. I just hope they are at least working on it, they do have at least one Linux engineer; Godlewski.
never experienced this. And i played 6 hours straight with 1 sitting.
