Oops - someone nearly caused a fire with the Steam Controller Puck

But, who actually reads this kind of small-print? My bet is only a very tiny minority of people, especially for something usually as simple as a game controller. Ideally, Valve should look to add a much more prominent warning (like in the Steam client) - just to be a bit more on the safe side.
Oh please, take responsibility, its magnetic, it has electricity......

Blender change the Anthropic AI funding deal, with discussions planned for AI Policies

Quoting: Talon1024Good! Glad to see they're prioritizing their users, their reputation, and human creativity over money, and I believe that is of the utmost importance for a major Free/Open Source project like Blender.

If this turns out for the better, Mozilla ought to learn a lesson or two from this.
Sorry to be negative, but with statements like blender now made I always add "for now..." AI is not going away and will become better and slowly more common, 5 years from now there will be no backlash at all, sadly.

Quoting: HendrinMckayNo, will not touch this with a ten foot pole even though I want to play it. Now that Playstation will no longer being bringing there first person titles to PC I will no longer be purchasing the games they make or publish as a matter of principal.
So the game is out on the pc, it is utterly brilliant (finished it on the ps5) but because future ps5 games might not come to the pc your not buying it. You do understand that if enough people do this they are kind of making the point for Sony because of low sales right? Having massive sales would actually show them the error of their ways.

If you enjoyed the first one then do yourselve (not sony) a favour en enjoy this one :)

Letter from the owner - our stance on generative AI

Nicely put.
If we like it or not, AI is here to stay. Personally I feel it will drop the average intelligence of the human race even more then social media did. Asking an AI to make you a website does not make you understand or actually learn what you are doing and it does not make you smarter.
AI has absolutely no place on a news website like gamingonlinux, news articles need to be written by humans which includes having spelling errors and/or personal feelings.

So again, Nicely put and I take off my hat to you for putting it out there so clearly.

See Xbox Gaming Copilot. It's already there on handhelds like the ROG Xbox Ally.
