I do understand they put linux as a stretch goal, it requires more testing and probably some unknown issues for them, I can live with that.
I would back it in a heartbeat as UO 1+2 where big favourites of mine... the only reason I am NOT backing it is because there is no time table for the Linux version and reaching the linux stretch goal like others did does not mean we get anything in a timely fashion:
10 months and waiting for Moebius
8 months and waiting for Divinity: Original Sin
13 Months and waiting for Banner Saga (single player)
<and prob several more like that>
sorry but that irritates me to no end

might be a dutch thing, but when somebody says "we give it a go and tell you what we think" but is talking about himself... its something royalty does, they talk about themselves as we :) but maybe its normal in English, I just notice it a lot and wonder about it

I enjoyed this one big time under windows way back, from somewhere I also got the epic edition but never done that one. Anyways, that windows has the DRM does not mean Linux has it.
Reality Pump [External Link] is listen under the Hardware Based DRM's [External Link] with an unknown number of activations for Two Worlds.
At GOG [External Link] two worlds is also listen so there are DRM free versions of the game, so if you don't like Steam including that DRM (although think about the fact the Steam is a sort of DRM) then you can always go to GOG.

question about this review, you mention that the audio cables is a downside, but you don't mention an audio cable in the review, so why the heck does the keyboard have an audio cable ? for a headset/mic or ?
if so then might want to mention that is this review, do see the point if they as long as the usb, unless you got a pc with usb & 2nd set of sound connectors at the front, could lead cabling to that ?

Hamish has it correct, you invest in the idea of the kickstarter and you can only hope they make it, your not buying anything and its up to them if they put out what they made as opensource or not, you did not pay then to do that :)
anyways, the soutpark episiode about kickstarter http://www.southpark.nl/clips/s4v9pg/washington-redskins-kickstarter [External Link] should be a must watch for many who got no idea about what your really do when you donate/support a kickstarter.

sorry but what made you think telltale would release this on linux, because its an adventure about a game that is available on linux ? telltale has never release their games on linux.
And as for because MS involved comments..... right... and they also behind the fact that these telltale games [External Link] are not ported either. Telltale simply does not do linux games, their choise end of conspiracy.
some of their older once (mostly before the .net stuff) do work fine under wine. Sam & Max specially worth a try if you want some fun. anyways check This guide [External Link]

Porting Civilization: Beyond Earth, Dev Update 6 From Aspyr Media (UPDATED)

Big issue with AMD at least (not sure about intel) is that developers have no where to knock and ask for help/support or answers. Nvidia's developer support is at a much higher level, if your a member of the "the way its mean to play" club you get premium support, but even if your not you still get a reply to your questions as a developer and this is something that is extremely lacking on the AMD side, unless your one of the big shots like ubisoft/ea/activision or your game & market is big enough so you pop up on the radar your basicly out of luck and can figure it out yourself.

Hopefully they're able to sort these issues out soon, and we still have our fingers crossed for a release before the holiday season.I think its more an issue of these 2 vendors sorting stuff out, or working towards a solution.

Quoting: SpeedsterYeah, so the character animation is rough, that doesn't mean it won't be a good adventure!true, but if you read any review from sites that are good in this genre of games (so not PCgamer or anything) you'll see its not a good adventure either.... sadly :(

Planetary Annihilation is on my list of Kickstarters I am sorry I supported, Its my own fault and I will learn from that but PA is not even close to Total Annihilation in terms of a single player campaign and although the idea of the planets is a cool one but because of the planets curve (or what ever you call it in english) half you screen room is wasted... I don't know, the idea is good but the end result simply does not suite me at all. ah well :)
