Unigine updates!

Quoting: "liamdawe, post: 5132, member: 1"I hope to see more games actually come out for Linux using this engine in the future, it's the Engine that powers Oil Rush (the only Unigine powered game currently on Linux that I know of)

the engine seems to be able to do a lot but somehow it simply is not used that much, that seems a shame but i guess developers seem to have a reason to ignore it? even wasteland using another engine for linux that still iks in beta

Kickstarter Castle Story

what I basicly do on a kickstarter page is a do a search for "linux", which gives:

Castle Story will be released for Windows & Mac (with possible Linux support once Unity4 is released).

Zombie Tux Spotted in L4D2 Update Announcement

just a random thought, I like those :)

if the whole steam to linux becomes a huge success and many people move from windows to linux as their game collection was the only thing stopping them, will the linux community be able to cope ? I mean there will be more users, I assume a bit less geeky then the current linux user. More uses means more bug reports as more people use more aspects of linux (kernel) but also the desktop (kde/gnome/etc) and the drivers (blob or open). Is the average linux distribution but also drivers/kernel community big enough to handle that ? these users come from a different environment, one where drivers get updated the whole time, even if it is to fix the performance with 1 game. I don't see that happening in the kernel drivers or 3rd party drivers ?

Just a random thought I know :)

ps: and what will the impact be off all of this on Wine/Crossover/Codeweavers ?

Quoting: "Hamish, post: 5007, member: 6"They do have to up their game now. It is not just them playing in the sandbox anymore.

agree, but that is something totally different then writing pieces about them still being invalid and create the mood he does where people fanaticly want LGP to go bust.

Quoting: "Hamish, post: 5007, member: 6"But I do agree that Larabel does tend to be a bit trollish - but he is like that about everything.

its more then trollish, its like doing his best to make a company look bad or irelevant
