I wonder if flashlight++ won't make myhouse.pk3 slow to a crawl in this version...
EDIT: ah, flashlight++ doesn't work with vkdoom yet. Ah well. Still promising!

Either way I do hope this leads to a solution sooner rather than later. Can the Steam runtime not use its own glibc? I have definitely heard that particular library has been a problem with updates.
Quoting: damarrinAnd since Epic doesn't care about Linux because no users and it was Valve who probably pressured/paid them to support us, this is basically Linux people shooting Linux in the foot... almost as if they didn't want more people using it. Imagine that.I mean if you want to point fingers, it's not so much "linux people" as it is glibc/GNU developers. Definitely heard cooperation there can be difficult. :dizzy:

Vulkan mode on Sway in native wayland mode is still having the same issue portal 2's vulkan renderer did. :( Won't go any higher than 1080p even if I try to force 1440p in launch options. Works fine when I set SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11
Then again native wayland support kinda has to be forced by preloading system installed SDL libraries so that's already not going to have entirely expected outcomes, but still.

When using vulkan mode I can't get it to go over 1080p. I use a 1440p monitor. Opengl version does it no problem. I even set the width and height from launch options but it still maxes out at 1080p in vulkan mode. :( It might be because I use Sway but it's odd that opengl mode has no issue with this.

Well damn. I bought a new SSD and installed Windows to it specifically to play this. Oh well, more SSD space certainly can't be a bad thing!
Now I kinda wish I bought it on Steam cause holy shit, good job Valve.

Oh yeah I really like this. It does seem like a great game to chill with. My only slight qualm is I do wish you had the -OPTION- to get out and explore on foot for smaller scale stuff, but I like that the primary transportation is vehicular.

Is anyone else noticing something feeling kind of... off, when using this? I've been playing Overwatch with this feature for a few days now and it often feels like the framerate gets lower despite the game reporting that it's not dipped below 60 even once. What it feels like is almost like a lower framerate video rather than the game itself slowing down.
I have no hard numbers nor do I know how to get them, but it almost seems like the stream from the discrete card is being slowed in some way depending on the circumstances. Something just feels very off and it doesn't happen when I just boot my DE with nvidia-xrun.

The models and animations of the characters are still pretty derpy... if they were more expressive in a similar vein to their portraits that alone would make them look a lot better. Other than that though this game is actually pretty great.
Quoting: 14I was going to say just in case of library incompatibilities but I just realized why that would be a dumb reason. In any case it's in the repo now!Quoting: SundragonWhy?Quoting: 14You can install it with Lutris, I recommend that. :)sudo pacman -S supertuxkart

Aww, it's not in the Arch repo yet. I'll install it soon.
