Looks like a sewing machine…
Mudborne is a wonderfully chilled sim about catching and breeding frogs out now

Forgot to mention that I'm very happy that this does not run on GameMaker (like APICO), but uses LÖVE/Love2d.

Bought it yesterday with the (bundle) discount for APICO owners and played till I reached the first two generations dream portal lock.
I'm still not sure if playing as a human would have been a better idea. A frog that selectively breeds frogs feels weird to me.
APICO seems to have better base of operations scaping: I've expanded the pier outside of the starting building with the trader and put most of the appliances in that region but having composters spread around everywhere makes it feel a lot less tidy and coherent. It definitely has a stronger focus on discovering how to reach all parts of the world compared to APICO.

Linux kernel 6.14 out late due to 'pure incompetence' - don't get too excited about Linux gaming boosts

That quote is weird. The whole issue was and is not about speed. The problem is that fsync is broken by design, so no more manual disabling to avoid crashes in certain games.

How do we collectively feel about the expansions of the first part?
I like the base game – F.E.A.R. – although there are too many concrete surfaces. What I hugely dislike is the combination of the weapon limit and the ammo limit. There are too many fun things that don't work due to ammo limitations. If you could collect ammo for guns that you don't have, it wouldn't be as annoying.
Also the font size: The text is too small.
Spoiler, click me
I don't remember the names, but I do know that one was okay and the other not.

I'm not sure. Dredge is mostly focussed on exploration and catching at least one of each type of fish. There is not much else except the atmosphere and the story.
Silent Hill 4, F.E.A.R. and more join the GOG Preservation Program

I'm sceptical that there is any benefit when the games are run through wine. I remember reading that they broke the installer of one of the Lego games with the recent preservation program update.

Sleeping Dogs has the forced gun sections that I hated on the Deck, but the rest of the game is a good match. Arkham Asylum does not have the gun section problems, but there were some reports of technical issues. I've played through the GOG version through normal Arch wine on the Deck several times.
Dredge is probably the perfect game for the Deck with the way time works: In most situations the time only advances when the player does anything.
Yes to Halls of Torment.

Surprisingly, Valve rated Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced and Rainbow Six Siege as Steam Deck Playable

Perhaps the official meaning of the ratings has changed… if the messages of the parts that make up playable status are to be interpreted literally, all functionality that works without a controller has to work with a controller. That is the case – not working without a controller and also not working with a controller.

No. I would never buy a game if there is no way that a finished product will be delivered with necessary future bug fixes.
