Feral's Game Port Radar Updated For Linux
6 Dec 2014 at 8:24 am UTC Likes: 1

I think it could be both, I mean, we already know both are being ported. Although I think if it had to be one of the two, it's probably Total War, both the image and the text are a good hint for that one. BI is only the text as far as I can see.

I'm looking forward to BI more though. Unfortunately I already bought BI ... Fortunately my sister loves the game AND doesn't have it yet :-)

Taking a Look at Goat MMO Simulator & Introducing The New Guy

I don't agree on Goat Simulator, maybe because it's just my kind of humour. The game is about experimenting with what you have available to attain poorly explained goals. And there is a lot of things that you missed, going straight past them.
I do agree however that the market can easily get saturated with such games: cheap to make and bring a lot of revenue. Also means the genre will quickly fall to a stable level.

Great to have you here!

0 A.D. Progress Report, Programmers Needed

If they could get the game to use multiple cores, that would be a huge improvement. In college at the moment, doing compsci, might throw myself into some 0AD code at some point in the holidays. I've done a few small things with it before. But I'm afraid I'm really much too inexperienced to be of any real help for the time being.

The Steam Sales Are On
2 Dec 2014 at 5:00 pm UTC

I got me some games earlier this month at full-price or in small sales.
-Transistor.
-A Bird Story
-Desktop Dungeons
-Warlock 2: The Exiled
-Tropico 5

So I'm good for the time being. Saw a few games I liked the look of.
Like Cannon Brawl and Defense Grid 2. Oh and Isaac rebirth.
Might be getting some of those if they go on sale again in winter.

New Blog Post On Porting Civilization: Beyond Earth From Aspyr Media

I ordered Civ BE from GameAgent. They sent me a confirmation saying "Mac version". I sent an e-mail telling them I want to be counted as a Linux user. I got a response saying they can't change it. :-(

PS. Some Civ BE fan art here: https://imgur.com/s5dCEFW [External Link]

We Are The Worst Interstellar Marines In The Universe

Quoting: Silver4Did someone of you tried to play with microphone? I tried to set it up but pulseaudio doesn't recognize Interstellar Marines. Counter-Strike Source works. I just want to know if it is a problem from pulseaudio, microphone or the game itself ;)
Yeah, I play with mic, works fine on my set-up. Ub14.10

Quoting: SkarjakI really like how you kept reloading while out in the open. :p
that's no problem unless you're stationary. i more reminisced on mgo times where people were trying to sneak with gun lamp turned on;) i don't know if lamp is registered by the game or not. hell, it wasn't in demon's/dark souls so it might not be here as well. what do i know since i don't own this game yet;)

still, good old mgo times
Not only do robots react to the flashlight, they also react to sound (footsteps) IIRC so you should crouch. In multiplayer games other players can also see you laser pointer, so you should only activate it when necessary. Really like that about it!
