GE-Proton removes the dxvk-async patch in version 7-45

Quoting: Gabry0988Hello Liam! can you please make a video tutorial to use graphic pipeline library on the steam deck?

I am a number one fan of dxvk async. I use that for games in other non-steam client for a stutter free experience and this proton-ge update was a bit disappointing for me. can you please describe why they removed it from proton ge?

thank you.

Keep up the good work
Tha would be awesome, yep.

Ive trying to test it on my steamdeck but I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly.

Played a bit last night, I have to say the game looks really nice with a big performance boost using FSR 2.0, and worked perfectly using Proton Experimental.

GOG finally remove the false "in progress" note about GOG Galaxy for Linux

Quoting: jensI’m a Steam customer and have my full library there, because convenience but also because their investment into the Linux gaming stack (they could have made Proton completely closed, but decided to go 100% Open Source!).
That said I do think GOG fully deserves their place and I hope they ship into better waters soon. Granted, their communication could be better, but in my opinion they support Linux, but just passively and not actively like Valve. I guess reasons are of simple economical nature. GOG is certainly not anti-Linux and still deserves it’s place in the Linux gaming world.
Agree, I have over 110 games in GOG, I really like their store. However, over time I've found myself shifting more and more over steam than GOG. Maybe due to all the features that Steam client provides (controller input regardless of brand, cloud saves, proton, etc), things that I can't have with GOG.

I do like like GOG galaxy, but even while running it with Wine doesn't work well. Releasing GOG Galaxy on Linux for sure would be really helpful, but maybe not enough now that we have proton on another launcher.

Controller support for Path of Exile leaving Beta, should work great on Steam Deck

Quoting: hercIt's quite amazing how the Steam Deck has, in such a short time, changed so many things. I'm pretty sure controller support would have taken quite a bit longer to be implemented into Path of Exile if it wasn't for the Steam Deck arriving.

For several leagues I have been playing the game with the Steam Controller, streaming the game to my TV with a Raspberry Pi and the Steam Link app. I'm looking forward to playing the new Sentinel league on my Steam Deck =)
Same here,

I've been streaming through sunshine + moonlight, and is really nice to play Path of Exile on the couch.

Path of Exile getting gamepad support, should work better on Steam Deck

Wow, I'm actually impressed with their controller support implementation, it's a full new UI only for controller support, maybe reused from their Xbox port but still, it doesn't feel like a half-assed effort.

I think I'm going to play Path of exile on my TV for some time :woot:

Quoting: MayeulCHas any EAC title checked that box yet? Or is it only going to be available later?
Last time I checked, Paladins [External Link] and Smite [External Link] started working some days ago, nice too see some developers,at least, allowing EAC to run (even if they don't provide full linux support)

Personally, I'm waiting for Planetside 2 and Vermintide 2 to start working on linux, I really miss playing those 2 games.
