Well its a cool project, but so far the slowest distro with gamescope session, I still prefer garuda with gamescope session or chimera, the test version of chimera is pretty great.

If they ever ship gnome tweaks by default this would be my daily driver forever, really love the OS.

GE-Proton 7-44 is out with multiple game-specific fixes, plus initial HDR work

Quoting: drjomsDid anyone get HDR working with this one?|
If yes, do you need to enable a variable or something?
Well you need a patched kernel so its a pain to get working. I got it working by using Nobara 37, and their own gamescope-session, but its pretty buggy and HDR does not work with every game. And being used to Holoiso, Nobara is so slow.

Quoting: BumadarIf your an nvidia user I agree, it works better out of the box on them.
If your an amd user then I feel there are more option as you can totally avoid closed source drivers.
Well only disto I can think of thats not good for an Nvidia user is Holoiso steamos.

I have a pretty slow gaming computer so I have to go for speed to reach 4k or atleast 4k with fsr or the like, so atm I am running ChimeraOS and CachyOS, they are both great for speed in games, ChimerOS is the fastest I have tried, however its a bit too locked down for daily driver usage.

NVIDIA "unlaunching" the RTX 4080 12GB, apparently 4090 Ti cancelled due to melting

Well its cool that they actually listened for once, trying to trick customers like this would have been a really shitty move. Now if they can also fix some bugs in their drivers so I can actually get 120hz instead of 60hz would be nice, I am currently trying to get a hold of an AMD card since I got tired of Nvidias slowness when it comes to fixing bugs.

Decky Loader, get easy Steam Deck Plugins and make colours POP!

Unable to get it to work on holoiso for some reason the icon to access it never shows up in gamepadui.

Quoting: pbI can't wait for a proper "normal pc" release of SteamOS. My self-made-steam-machine went from SteamOS 1 to SteamOS 2 to GamerOS to EndeavourOS but it pines for SteamOS 3 all the time.
If the GPU is AMD, SteamOS 3 or one of its derivates (Holo, Winesap...) should work fine.
Unfortunately it's from the times when nvidia seemed to be a better choice.
Anyway I'm aware of Holo but after the experiences with "SteamOS replacement" GamerOS, I'll just wait for the official release.
Well yeah gamepadui has some issues with Nvidia its very laggy but still usable, and gamescope is a bit wierd at times but its easily fixed by going fullscreen or windowed in a game. Overall Holoiso is a great OS, very speedy in games and everything looks better then on normal arch.
