Diablo Immortal works on Steam Deck, plus a fix for Battle.net being slow

I wish I could use steam input on the computer even if I use third party launcher from steam and add it there, there is no steam input option. But it crashes constantly for me so its not really playable anyway, and cloud save is not working need to redo everything every time I reinstall the game. Sync with phone is not working either even tho I did all the steps it listed.

What's the problem w/ the latest drivers? Curious as I'm an arch user looking to switch too.
Well for my although probably not very common usecase(I use a dp to hdmi adapter to get 120hz) the newer drivers refuse to let me use 120hz I can only choose 60hz, its the same problem on windows with 500 series drivers too.

Its really cool, a handheld for linux gaming enthusiasts, so mutch to tweak. If the text is blurry in a game use vkbasalt and enable cas, or try using fsr in quality mode, Also installing gnome helps it sharpens up games. Sadly most other tools to get sharp games in linux are Nvidia:s.

New driver new bugs sigh, stuck at 60hz instead of 120hz, wierd since the beta of this driver did not have that problem.

Quoting: hercI'm running an AMD card with Mesa and the character selection screen is missing all the textures from what I can tell. In-game everything seems to work perfectly though :)
Same problem here, I thought running with vulkan would help but then it crashes due to a lack of a windows dll for logitech rgb rofl, talk about bad programming.

KDE Plasma gets fingerprint reader support, plus preliminary support for NVIDIA GBM

Quoting: MohandevirJust installed Kubuntu 20.04 this weekend... I was using Pop_OS! for the last year and half, or so.

I've been pleasantly surprised with KDE... Gnome required me to uncheck "Allow flipping", in the Nvidia control panel, to prevent screen flickering while streaming from my Nvidia GPU rig to my Nvidia Shield. I also had to disable the HDMI audio output to prevent audio degradation (it usually happened after 15 to 20 mins of playtime). All of those issues also affected KDE, before I decided to settle with Pop_OS! (tested it back then).

This time, I didn't had to do any of those tweaks on KDE. No flickering, no audio degradation after a 1 hour run, friday evening and a 2 hour run, yesterday.

Nice progression by the KDE team! Crossing my fingers that it keeps on going this way!

Valve's implication in Kwin support at work here?

Edit: It brings me back full circle... It all started with Kubuntu 7.10, for me.
You went from one distro to another, with different different software 20.04 uses ancient software maybe it worked better back then.

I hope they fixed the Gsync issue, its anoying to have to downgrade the driver to use the system at all. Edit- Yes its fixed! Wayland works great in gnome now too, gaming is not as janky now.

Quoting: dubigrasuWell, for me is hello Ubuntu, goodbye Ubuntu, its days as my distro are numbered.
I had a short period using it, but I've been mostly a SteamOS user since 2013, and only resorted to Ubuntu when SteamOS 2.0 was clearly abandoned (or so I thought at the time).
I did tried to keep SteamOS alive by adding Sidux repos and having practically everything up to date, but it eventually it was: what's the point?

Ubuntu served me well and I have no complaints, but for now: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, looking forward for SteamOS 3.
I still think it shouldn't be called SteamOS 3 and needs to be 4... 3.0 was the beta branch based on Debian, and we all know Valve can't count to 3, but assuredly they can count to 4. :P

I also wish I could find some time to test it, but I don't know why you couldn't take SteamOS 2.0 and change the repositories to mainstream Debian and just upgrade to Bullseye and have a newer / stable system.
Well install a arch based distro and install steamos session + and you will have a SteamOS system without any hassle, or if you dont need the desktop install chimeraOS.

Gnome 41 is stupidly fast compared to 40, sadly tho I got a flicker bug in gdm and in games so not usuable for me yet.
