I think this was the first game I played on the Steam Deck, and still one of the best experiences so far. Great game, and it never dipped below 60 FPS on high settings... Source engine ftw!

Quoting: MohandevirJust out of curiosity, what prevents Valve from upgrading Gamescope's integrated FSR with FSR2.2 or FSR3?I think FSR 2/3 needs to be support by the game, because it uses temporal data, which FSR 1 does not.

Hmm, who is doing these charts!? Performance Mode is slower than Quality Mode? And on the legend in the next chart there are two items with the same color.

I had this CD Key issue recently in one of the Far Cry games. Turned out that the file "distribution.steam" was missing in the "bin" folder of the game. The file can be empty, so I created it and after that everything worked again.
Maybe the fix works for this game as well?

Quoting: BotonoskiI am sort of crossing my fingers that Microsoft bungles up really really bad soon, in some way that even companies reliant on their product will find unforgivable, like a huge price hike or locking users out of their own PC for having internet opinions, something that effects bottom lines more than switching to a new platform.I really hope so, but I wouldn't bet on this. In the past, MS was very good in finding the sweet spot of what they can force down peoples throats without loosing to much of their user base. They even made people buy new hardware in order to run Windows 11.

As much as I prefer to play native, I do love the fact that I can always use Proton as a fallback when the native version doesn't work anymore or gets dropped.

Quoting: EikeWell, I could hardly believe the situation with native Linux games is that bad, so I tried it on my side. I redownloaded and started the first 10 games I got for Linux on Steam, from late 2012 to mid 2013.(*) Every single one of them is running without problems and without any tinkering on my 2023 system.I recently tried EndeavourOS and couldn't get native games to run, in particular Payday 2 and Metro Exodus. Playing these games with Proton worked fine however. I checked drivers, vulkan and a few other things, but no luck. Never found out what was missing. Back on Manjaro, native games where running out of the box...

Also played Resident Evil on the Steam Deck, because I thought the smaller screen would make it easier for me to endure this kind of game. Boy, I was wrong...

Quoting: EikeOutlast was too much for me. Gave up in the DLC.I suffered through both. Definitely not good for my mental health, but I was too ashamed to give up.
