Steam Stealth Fest launches July 24th

By - | Views: 17,922

Who said that? Did you see something? The Steam Stealth Fest is getting ready to jump out at you on July 24th - so prepare you wallet.

As per usual for these events you can expect to see all sorts including discounts, demos, and more, all in celebration of games designed with sneaking in mind. So if there's a particular game that has been sneaking away from you as you wait for a discount maybe it's time to add it to your wishlist so you don't miss a sale on it.

Valve also put up a trailer for the event:

The event will be live on the Stealth category page on Steam and runs until July 31st.

Are there any particular titles you're hoping to try out or buy?

I was kind of hoping that Covert Critter might've been out by now, since this would be the perfect event for it!

Sim Fest is also live right now on Steam, albeit to not that much fanfare. It runs through the weekend with some pretty decent deals on a variety of games.

My exact thoughts, damn! I was really hoping for it to be launched for this fest. But hey, they didn't give us a date... Maybe there's still hope for a surprise launch during the Stealth Fest?

I would love that. It's been on my wishlist for so long now - ever since it was covered here on GOL last year, funnily enough.

Now that I think about it... I may have discovered it too thanks to GOL...
By the way, I know it's not the same but if you're looking for a nice old school stealth game, try UnMetal, extremely fun and... If you can, play it with the original voices (in Spanish), they are waaaaaay better than the English dub. I couldn't stop laughing during the whole game.

Hehehe! Thanks for the recommendation - this game looks hilarious!

Behind all the jokes there's a very good game, similar to the old metal gear for the msx with an extremely unexpected ending (in a good way). It's probably going to be on sale for the fest so I'd wait to get it then.

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I could go for another Splinter Cell game. Maybe the Ubisoft studio(s) that work on Assassin's Creed can take a break and make a non-open-world Splinter Cell game. I really like those. I think I've beaten them all.

I don't have any stealth games on my wish list currently, unless you count Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty that is #1 on my list (my first playthrough was stealth + pistols).
