My biggest problem with gog are the saves, I lost my progress in wasteland 3, art of rally and hellpoint because the copy and paste for save files is not working.
I didn't buy or play any gog games after losing my wasteland late game save, Despite my preference for store / only gaming focus experience they offer.

Heroic supports the gog galaxy cloud saves and achievements, can't remember if it is the case for mini galaxy and lutris.

Lutris is maybe a bit overkill and more complicated just for gog games compared to heroic and mini galaxy.

The best thing to do is try it out and see if it's fits your needs.

I saw that and grabbed it, but isn't it still unplayable on Linux due to EAC?

It seems to work if you host the lobby, at least for some people on protondb.

Yes I know, you still got what you paid for in the first place, it's visible that multiplayer doesn't work on Linux and if you really want to play with a friend you can run it with wine.

Honestly if making the online co-op windows exclusive on gog was the only way to bring to the game I'm fine with it, but a os agnostic online mode should be the way to go, at least for our perspective as consumers.
