Interstellar Marines the beautiful tactical FPS game that was recently released for Linux has now been updated for Linux due to their older game engine having mouse issues.

I have tested it myself and the mouse is a lot smoother to the point of making the game not feel sluggish at all for me now, and I've seen plenty of other people mention it has fixed all of their mouse issues, so a lot more Linux users should be able to play it now!

They haven't been sitting on their hands either, as they have recently shown off a video of their new AI in action:

So prepare for bots hopefully in the next version and they already look like they put up a good fight.

If you haven't seen them already be sure to check out our interview with the developers, and our GOL Cast video of the game.

About the game
Interstellar Marines resurrects the old school tactical FPS, offering a unique blend of co-op, role-playing and nonlinear gameplay. Set in a believable future, you take on the role as an elite soldier handpicked to join Project IM, a top secret military program being assembled to protect mankind from all dangers outside our solar system.

Interstellar Marines is inspired by Half-Life, System Shock 2 and Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. Our game is all about evolving the FPS recipe with all the inspirations we've assimilated since the birth of the genre. Our goal is an evolutionary leap forward driven by our compulsive interest in science fiction, role-playing, military realism, and respect for first person immersion. Yay! Finally, I can play this game normally :)
Performance is not interstellar, though, but my hardware is getting quite old, and we are speaking about a Unity game.

Edit : still have some mouse issues on KSP...
