GamingOnLinux's GOTY Awards is now open!

By - | Views: 21,478
Greetings Linux gamers, our GOTY award is now open for voting. We have multiple categories to vote in this year, as requested.

Head over to our GOTY page to begin voting!

All games were nominated by the community, so if your personal choice isn't there be sure to add it next time during nominations.

It should be a bug free experience, but do let me know of any issues ASAP.

Voting will close on the 12th. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Note: We accidentally had Wasteland 2: Director's Cut in DLC category, it's in the best update category, but it was named Wasteland 2, I have edited the name to Wasteland 2: Director's Cut and removed the one from the DLC category, whoever voted for it in the DLC category has their vote back in the DLC category.

Bah, we also had Talos in the "Best version quality & performance released in 2015" when it was released in 2014, removed it. Someone voted for it, you have your vote back.

Also seems someone put War Thunder in the free games release in 2015 category (another from 2014), removed. Again, if you voted you have your vote back.

Sorry for wrong category stuff (it's probably due to me changing category names to explicitly state "in 2015" during nominations), it's not easy to double check so many entries mostly by yourself, as it seems other editors have been busy so I didn't have too much help to double check over them all.

Bit of a bumpy start, but hey it's how we roll.

And hey, you (rock'n' ) roll. And your open about this kind of thing, which adds to the previous statement.

Anyway, time to throw Victor Vran some votes.

Shouldn't OpenXcom be in "Favourite FOSS project", not "Favourite open source games"? It's not a game by itself, you need the original game(s) data files.

Another one that sadly was missed, it has been moved. Whoever voted for that in open source games has their votes back in that category now.

In future, it's looking like we might nominate the games ourselves to prevent these issues.

It's only our second time doing this, and the categories were slightly changed during nominations, so can't be helped, but I think now all are correct :D

Quoting: GuestOpenMW is also in the "best update" category and not "best FOSS project", not sure if intended.

Edit: sorry, it *is* in the "favourite FOSS project" category AND in the "best update"…

Yeah, anything can be updated, so it's correct :)

How is possible is not transistor, for me it's the best audio that had on this year. Also they are missing games, magicka 2 is one of them. No idea the list is not complete.

As people didn't nominate them, that was the whole idea ;)
