Co-hosts needed for the GOL podcast!

By darkone778 - | Views: 16,674
Hello to all GOL gamers!

So let me quickly introduce myself, my name is Matthew Cross. I have been a long time Linux user, since the Mandrake days, but I have been a PC gamer for even longer. So anyways, onto the point of this post. With all the new games, and gaming happening in the world of *nix, and GOL being the place for Linux gaming news. It seems only appropriate that GoL has all the content to go with a major gaming news website.

The Boss and others, do a great job currently provides us with news, livestreams, and much more content. So I wanted to give back for their awesome work, by offering to do the GOL podcast!

So what I am currently looking for as far as format, and what is needed? The biggest thing right now that is needed are co-hosts for the show. I am currently look for 2 co-hosts to join me on the show. How often will we have show? The show will be recorded once a week with a show length running between 1 to 1.5 hours. Also, any co-host must be comfortable being on mic and/or camera. The finer details of the show format will be worked out be the co-hosts and myself. We will of course, be taking feedback and suggestions from the community for ideas and show topics

To give a quick synopsis of the show discuss news of the week, have developer interviews, and topics of discussion for the week as it relates to Linux gaming. So comment below if you are interested in co-hosting the show, and we will set up a time to talk. Game on! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Would love to do this, but I don't think I'd have the time at the moment. Also, I'm ugly, so putting me on camera would be a great way to scare away the audience. :O

I'd really love to join such an initiative, I even got many years worth of broadcast experience, but English is not my native language so that'd be too much of a hindrance. :(

It's a good idea, and would love to help but dont reckon I have enough time to spare 1-1.5hrs weekly. Maybe if your ever in a bind and need a fillin.

Look forward to hearing / watching it.

I would be interested in giving it a shot :). I've been using Linux since 2003 when Fedora Core 1 came out. By day I am a coder, by night I am still a coder, and I've recently started to expand my work into games development too.

I'm interested in this. I've kinda been looking to get into some streaming anyway. Is there going to be an application process?

I'd like to be in, but my English could be a barrier, and also I can't join every week, but every two weeks could be ok for me.

Linux user from... I can't remember, 2000 or earlier, and pc gamer from 4 or 5 years now, and my mic is a pseye (yes, the ps3 camera).
