Plague Inc: Evolved exits Early Access, brings co-op multiplayer

By - | Views: 5,791
Plague Inc: Evolved, a game all about making the deadliest pathogens to wipe out the human race, has now officially released as a version 1.0 on Steam and brings in some co-op features.

In Plague Inc: Evolved you are tasked with the creation of an extremely infectious and lethal pathogen and your objective is to eliminate (or enslave) all of humanity. You need to manage your methods of transmission and your symptoms carefully to avoid getting detected and to infect as many people as possible before unleashing a biological hell on the unsuspecting human race. You have 10 different pathogen types to choose from, ranging from regular bacteria to a zombie virus, all of which have their own quirks and abilities.

The 1.0 version brings in additional co-op multiplayer functionality. So far the game has supported singleplayer and competitive multiplayer but now you can wage biological warfare on humanity with the help of you friends and their scary pathogens of doom and destruction.

I have played the game a little bit on the livestream and while I don't have any solid opinions on the game quite yet, I can tell you that the game does work and the world seems to react fairly realistically to your actions. Also, don't be fooled by the initial appearance of the game, careful planning seems quite vital for you to succeed. The system requirements are also quite low so you shouldn't have much trouble running it.

I remember when this was a free flash game... does Madagascar still close it's borders if someone coughs in a 10000 mile radius?

Madagascar is not the bad egg anymore really, it's Greenland (and in some instances Iceland)
