During the PlayStation 5 reveal recently, Neostream Interactive had their 2015 crowdfunded title Little Devil Inside shown off as a timed exclusive and they've now clarified their plans for platforms.

The timed exclusive deal caused a bit of a ruckus with backers, with quite a few angry comments aimed at the developers. However, according to what they said, this PlayStation 5 timed exclusive deal will not be affecting the release of the PC version so they're still firmly aiming for a concurrent launch on PC - the exclusive deal only affects console.

After reaching out to Neostream directly, they mentioned to me today that the Linux version is still planned to launch alongside Windows, "We'll be trying to get it to Linux at the same time as Windows. We will be clarifying again on all the precise platforms soon.".

Here's their brand new trailer, see below:

They've also seen some controversy elsewhere. In the trailer at about 0:46, you can see characters chasing the protagonist wearing masks. Apparently this caused a stir as some claimed it was a racial stereotype. The team released a statement on Facebook to apologize and they will be adjusting that model to remove the dreadlocks, change their "bold lips", skin tone and change the dart blower "so it looks less like a joint".

When we hear more about a Linux PC release date we will let you know.

We missed this one on our dedicated Crowdfinding Page, so it has been added today. It's now hit 350 projects being listed and still more to add yet.

You missed this one on the crowdfunding page. I missed this one entirely. Never saw it before. Curious mix of indie and AAA graphical elements. The trailer is not giving me any insight into the gameplay though.

I'm glad they've corrected the stereotype. Gaming as being a highly innovative industry there's lot of people with open minds. But I think some people need to chill down I recently read an article of JRR Tolkien being called the "Lord of the Racists".

(some) People will always find something to complain about, and once you give in to their whims they will double down until nothing is left but the bones.

That aside I love the art style of the game, never heard of it before now

It's exclusive, and also not! Quite silly.

Isn't that just an African tribal mask? Isn't a man at the beginning of the video shown as a stereotypical British gentleman? Is Crash Bandicoot racist now too?

Don't worry.
Now that they edit the masked characters, other (or probably even the same) people will complain that they now removed the African culture whatnot and that the removal is racist.

You guys make such a big deal about a change that apparently makes some people happy and hurts nobody. The developer wasn't forced to change anything, but they did, and we lost nothing in the process. So what if some baddies look a bit different in the final game?

The console exclusivity thing is just poor communication on their part. The game looks great though.

Don't those stereotype characters look like the Fetish monster from Diablo II?
https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/images/d/d0/Fetish.jpg
there's also a Fetish variant that fires darts

I don't see it that way. I think if they are calling everyone's attention on this, also a logical thing to do is to have some discussion and to have some reflection about it.
IMHO there's lot of stereotypes on gaming, but I think gaming as being such a relative young industry compared to others has very little racism and stereotypes, just for an example apparently JRR Tolkien is being called racist for not including black ppl in his books, but on Shadow Of War there is a black heroe who is the main character of a DLC, see? gaming to the rescue, problem solved.
