You asked, quite a lot actually and now System76 are going to be delivering with the all-AMD powered Pangolin. Considering the power of the newer generation AMD chipsets, it's not surprising that they've seen plenty of requests for a laptop powered by team red.

Once they give out more info, we will let you know.

In other System76 news, it seems their custom keyboard is still in progress. Founder and CEO, Carl Richell, showed off a shot on Twitter of the prototype keyboard milling. Will be very interesting to see what they actually come up with in the end, as we know it's going to be quite customizable from what they teased back in August.

I've been trying to buy a laptop with a Ryzen 4700U CPU, 16 GB of Ram and at least 3 USB ports for over a month now. They're sold out everywhere - Lenovo E14 Gen 2 has been "coming soon" for 3 months now, HP ProBook 455 G7 isn't even visible on HPs website anymore... The only laptops with Ryzen 4700U CPUs available come with a single USB port, which just won't cut it.

Maybe I'll be able to buy the Pangolin.

Cool! Finally something from System76 with AMD :) Curious about those "AMD Radeon graphics", any more details?

imho not a nice name considering the reputation of the said animal.

QuoteLi-Ion - 49 Wh

Well that's a disappointment. Factor in 10% degradation in the first year and you'll be tied to a charger. Laptops should come with 70+Wh batteries otherwise what's the point?

Integrated Radeon Graphics. My understanding is they're ~GTX 1050 performing if the computer features dual channel memory

It's OK. They're taking it back.

Anyhow, nice to see AMD. Still however waiting for a EU store/reseller.

I'm definitely not a fan of laptops, whatever the brand. But I really like System76 Thelio desktop, particularly the smaller version.

Good to see. That's actually somewhat the kind of laptop I buy--I do gaming at my desktop normally, so there's not much point going hog wild on the laptop.

Hopefully they use Coreboot.
